Anime made my world go round .. and it hasn't stoppend since ^^

Favortie Anime:

I love romance .. either drama or comedy .. I'm a total sucker for the lovey dovey stuff. I heart feel-good anime. Not really an epocalyptic, action, supernatural, alien, heroes, fantasy, fighting anime watcher - but Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Avatar (**thats not an anime!!!*) etc. are everyone's childhood classics ^^.

What makes me dislike an anime:

The ending is what will make or break an anime for me... in general it goes like this: Open endings, tragic endings, pure comedy with no plot or story, I hated all the characters' decisions, no one ended up with anyone/ unrequitted love, and the guy who loved one girl and for no apparent reason -half way through the show decides to love another one. I will most likely drop any anime that I find out is heading in that direction... I can't tolerate the heartbreak T_T.

Manga:

Started reading them after watching an awesome anime that had no second season ^^ *ahem Nana. Now I always read them to get to the end of an unfinished anime ... and also because there's just so much good manga out there that may never see the light of animation. I prefer completed ones, because I hate waiting months for the translations ^^ ... or when the author gets sick and the story never sees its end T.T

My Ratings:

I rate pretty high compared to most people... I think - and thats because 1- I really did enjoy all those animes. I'm fairly easily entertained in the romance comedy genre - so if I don't rate high or drop its because there wasn't enough romance. And 2, I don't usually watch shows I think i won't like - so I avoid a lot of anime I would have voted negatively in the first place.

3 stars for me means "the anime was ok or average, just maybe not my style"... 4 means it was "good" ... and 5 means "I will watch that anime more than once"... 2 is "bad" and 1 is "what the hell was that".

And Finally:

Pl leave recommendations .. I am always looking for new ones to watch ^^. P.S. I love Korean and Taiwanese dramas - so feel free to ask me recs on that as well.

Hi, Merry Christmas.

About learning japanese...I'm learning it with a combination of websites and applications. Sites like WWWJDIC which is just great, also some kanji training program loaded in my cellphone so I can check it while riding the bus and in my free time; of course along with the motivation of being able to understand the book 5 of Wolf & Spice which is being translated in the bakatsuki site (my gratitude to them) but I just can't wait for them to get there.

I'm glad to know that you also speak Italian, it sounds very cool in the movies and, as you said, there are parts which are pretty much understandable. The grammar and the language particularities had to be quite interesting, and it seems like you are going to be in touch with yet another language (bengali), wonder what it will be more like in grammar. Besides Spanish, english and my current attempts in japanese I've been in touch with Aymara (my grandmother speaked to me only in aymara when I was a child and both my parents are fluent in it, even so I can barely understand it due to lack of practice), quechua (which is another strong language here in Peru - the official language from the old Inca empire) and a very little French (only because I signed myself up in a 2-months course along with my fiancee). Anyways it's very fun for me just to know what a word means in another language.

Having said that, feel free to ask any question about spanish. I'll be more than glad to be of help to you.(Habiendo dicho aquello, sientete libre de hacerme cualquier consulta referente al español. Estare más que contento de serte util)

By the way, I'm about to finish NANA. and it keeps surprising me with each new development, which is what I like the most in a serie: being impredictable. Good choice with this one and thank you for including it on your list.

See you..

Torrents aren't slower, they're pretty fast for me atleast.

Yes, I just finished watching REC, I stalled it quite a long time ago, but finished it recently. To be honest I didn't even know there was a tenth episode.

And aye, that's something I created a long time. Also, yes - that's me playing the piano, but I don't play a lot nowadays unfortunately.

Love,

Ryuuk

Ah, well, someone had to do it I guess :)

By the way, torrents are way faster and more comfortable in my opinion. BakaBT and Tokyotosho are both awesome anime trackers. You should use them!

Yours sincerely,

Ryuuk

Haha, was it really worth pausing the anime to count?

I'm glad you liked Elfen Lied, it's still, without a doubt the best anime I've seen. Haven't found any anime like it, unfortunately :(

I cried at the endnig as well, it's very beautiful. Though I'm always in my bed while watching anime, so I don't sit seven inches from the screen.

I told you that you wouldn't need a backup anime!

Love,

Ryuuk

Hi, well the lyrics are a little odd with all the fairy tales references, but it's definitively a prety catching tune, I'm glad you liked it.

Veo que tambien hablas español, Pienso que aprender otro idioma es realmente una hermosa experiencia cultural. De hecho estoy empezando a aprender (aunque lentamente) japones para asi poder leer las novelas de Spice and Wolf.

(I see that you also speak spanish. I think that learn other language is really a beautiful cultural experience. In fact I'm starting to learn (slowly though) japanese so I can read the Novels of Spice and Wolf.)

See ya
