I'm fairly new to anime ... so I'm working hard to catch up. I feel lucky in a sense since being a late-comer means there are already lots of great animes out there that are completed. Watching Kimi Ni Todoke I've realized that it can be painful when you have to wait one week for a cliff hanger to be over ^^. So yes, I tend to watch a whole show in one go - sacraficing days of sleep. I've watched Marmalade Boy in what could have been a week or less - *ahem. Fortunately for my health now I've moved to India and the download is so slow that I have no choice but to limit myself to 3-4 eps a day.
I'm a romance sucker, and if some comedy is there then even better. I heart feel-good anime. Not really an epocalyptic, action, supernatural, alien, heroes, fnatasy, fighting anime watcher - but Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Avatar etc. are everyone's childhood classics ^^.
I usually really dislike an anime that ends with unrequitted love... or death... or something else tragic. I will most likely drop any anime that I find out is heading in that direction... I can't tolerate the heartbreak T_T.
I rate pretty high compared to most people... I think - and that is for 2 reasons. One- I really did enjoy all those animes. I'm fairly easily entertained in the romance comedy genre - so if I don't rate high or drop its because there wasn't enough of one of those two. Secondly - 3 stars for me means the anime was ok or average, just maybe not my style... 4 means it was good ... and 5 means I will watch that anime more than once.
I cannot watch one anime without remembering the other. Gorgous guys (whose stories are deeper...

Responding to your comment on my anime list.
I had School Days on the list, along with a few others because they touched me deeply, not specifically in a romance type way, but it could also have been they made me feel great sadness, too.
And I really hope what ones you added as want to watch turn out to be ones you really enjoy! :)
Hi there, just looked at your anime list and it seems like we have symilar taste in anime series, also i would like to recomend you Spice and Wolf seasons I and II, believe me there is a reason for this serie to be the #1 in my list.
Ahoy thar! I'm glad it gave you a good laugh.
As for the recommendation, thanks - but I've already seen it. I haven't watched nearly any anime the last month and I haven't been very active on Anime-Planet either. So I haven't updated my list in quite some time.
I'd highly recommend Elfen Lied and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, I think they're the only two animes that really made me cry, over and over and over.
Elfen Lied might not be to your liking though, as it contains quite a lot of the gore genre, but in my opinion that's what makes it so beautiful. There aren't much comedy in it either, but plenty of romance, and believe me - it's awesome.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien doesn't have a lot of comedy either, if any at all, but boy, it made my heart race so fast. It's a pure romance/tragedy anime, well worth the tears though.
Yours sincerely,
Ryuuk
Thanks for the review comment. Also: I'm glad to see you're already watching Kimi ni Todoke, I was immediately going to recommend that one to you. I think next for you is Hatskoi Limited (haven't seen it, but know enough to know that it's for you), and Aria: The Animation (read the manga, and it's so pleasant you shouldn't pass it up), and Strawberry Marshmallow (you're gonna love slice-of-life comedy. A lot.).
Konnichiwa!
It's definately got one or two good bits at the start, but I doubt the end will have no effect on you. Even if spoiled, it will still have a good impact due to the lead up and all that, so don't worry about that. :D
