The thing to understand about Evangelion is that it demands effort from the viewer on a level very few other productions do. The storytelling method tells you almost nothing outright. The symbols are sometimes exceptionally obscure. It's deep and complex, but utterly pretentious, giving nothing away to a casual viewer.

Even as an intelligent, well-read individual who's paying attention the whole way, it's possible to misunderstand the ending or not get anything out of it at all. People who don't understand it aren't even necessarily doing anything wrong -it's just that there  is so much meaning crammed into the thing but with almost no effort to actually make that meaning clear. It's fundamentally a flawed endeavour, but those who are willing and able to overlook that are likely to enjoy it.

Ending was bad? Hell no! Ending was the best part (both End od Evangelion and the original movie)! Every experienced anime viewer I ever met loves NGE. You can talk about it for hours. The show does not assume you are a retard and it never explains something twice (also you have to figure a lot by yourself), it has realistic characters that don't try to be fun or to apeal to you. They just act like they are made to. It has a strong focus on the characters and their thoughts, how they deal with every day life and has A LOT of existential phylosophy (for who do you live, why do you live, why care for others if they don't care for you). Alongside DBZ it is the most influential anime ever made, you will se elements taken from NGE in things like Code Geass, Gun x Sword and a bunch of others. All in all it is a work of art that  will have you thinking about it for months to follow. And thanks for the comment!

No problem. :) No, nothing special. I played floorball and basketball earlier. And I'm a huge fan of ice hockey. :D You should be too if you are from Sweden. xD

But I don't have any time to do sports now. Studying is more important. :D
