I never said I disliked her - just that I felt more could have been done with her. I just got the feeling 9 was pitying her a fair bit after she joined them, maybe I was overthinking the matter though. I wasn't implying she was not worthy of respect as a person, just that I felt she deserved some more recognition as early on she seemed to be treated as a nuisance. It never occured to me that she was the normality 12 couldn't have, it's pretty obvious in retrospect..Ah, no - I wanted her to be respected for being in the situation despite her comparative lack of skills & without being a genius - she must have had a heap of courage to leap into that situation and leave her home for them, after all. I dunno, maybe I missed something else..?
Anime-planet murdered my formatting ;n;
Hey dude! Just finished Zankyou no Terror last night, really enjoyed it! Decided I'd share my thoughts for the hell of it, if you want (and are able to!) to share your own I'd quite enjoy hearing them :)First off, I really enjoyed 12's character - he was probably my favourite within the show. I also rather liked Shibazaki - both were quite compelling I found, Shibazaki's upholding the law when even the system to protect it bows down, and 12's story (whilst obv much the same as 9s!) was quite enjoyable in turn - I think I just found his personality more likeable, 9 just seemed too cold & distant for much of it even when I know he was quite similar in motivations.On the other hand, one thing that bothered me was Lisa's characterization. I really enjoyed her backstory, finding her interactions with her mother to be quite compelling, and kind of wish we'd seen more of the backstory there even though I know it would probably have shifted the focus somewhat. I've no issues with her character persay, they are much as I would imagine someone might behave in her situation - I just didn't like how she always seemed to be useless, even outside of the super-intracate plans and skillsets of 9 and 12. Them essentially being geniuses and her a normal girl, it makes sense for her to look unskilled and unprepared by comparison when she's plunged into their world, but what bothered me was that, even outside of that, when it comes to more normal activities such as cooking or just playing ball at the end, she still seems to mess things up. I felt like I was always waiting for the point where she'd do something worthy of their example and earn some respect, but no, she just seemed to end up in trouble again and again and again, no matter what she did.. Just feels like there was some wasted potential there, but maybe that's just me.I found the story felt rather tight, even if it was so short nothing seemed superfluous & I always ended an episode eager to see the next, which is definitely a plus! The ending was sad indeed, and whilst expected from the nature of the story I found it no less impactful. Whilst I still crave for more I've no doubt the seeming lack of "padding" was a good thing, and it's short nature remains a virtue. I gave it 4/5 stars overall - so yeah, thanks for recommending it to me!
Hehe thanks, will do! :D
No worries :) Thanks! I think I said I had an interview at Rowlands Gill Medicial Centre a while back for a Receptionist job? Well, I didn't get that, but they asked me if they could keep my details if something else came up - and then out of the blue today they rang me up and offered me a job doing admin work w/patient records ehehe :D I'd be starting in November and it'd be a 6 month contract to start - don't know the hours just yet as they've not been finalised - will be hearing next week about that :P But yeah, so excited :D
