Non-anime related news: I just started college which is amazing. I love it. I may not be watching as much as I did in the summer for obvious reasons :)
School Rumble OVA: I haven’t watch School Rumble but oh have I missed it. It’s the very definition of a romantic comedy. I laughed and smiled and just thoroughly enjoyed myself. It also was the first time I watched it in Japanese (I have easy access to the English not Japanese) and I just adore the voices.
Hetalia Axis Powers: I finally finished Hetalia and I can’t wait to see the sequel. I won’t write too much about this one because I wrote about this one in a previous favorite’s blog.
Durarara!: This show has been getting a lot of hype so I wanted to try it out. My sister was apprehensive at first because she wanted to finish watching what we already started than start a brand new series. I convinced her at it is amazing. They are some weird characters but some are just so lovable in the strangest ways. Celty is just awesome and I find it so sad that she’s searching for her missing head. I also find her relationship with the doctor adorable. My two favorites right now are the two who hate each other: Izaya and Shizuo. I could not stop laughing when Shizuo picked up that refrigerator to throw at his brother who was eating something of his and then broke his bones. “I hate violence.” With Izaya, I love his personality. He just says it how it is and is absolutely crazy. This show kind of reminds me of Kuroshitsuji with its humor. I love it. It also has a very cool feel to it if that makes any sense. Go watch it. Do it. You'll thank me :)
Tsubasa Shunraiki: I loved Tsubasa and I would have loved the second season had they stayed true to the manga. Shunraiki renews my love because it did exactly that. It was AMAZING. It was like the manga pages in animation with the addition of a couple of flashbacks which I wish they had made into a season. I would have loved to see the chess game and Fai’s past. Shunraiki definitely does not disappoint and if you want to hear more about it, I wrote a review on it.
The Wallflower: I was first put off by the art in Wallflower. The “bishounens” seemed strange and almost tranny-like. Even the manga itself was just weird. However, it grew on me. Wallflower is HILARIOUS. It’s so funny. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments. The guys are just awesome and even though Sunako is a freak, I don’t dislike her. She is……..I’m not sure how to describe how I feel about her but it’s the border of like and ambivalent. I could just eat this up. Also, Kyohei x Sunako are adorable. They are just perfect for each other. Kyohei is kind of jerk and has a bunch of shallow followers while Sunako is a weirdo but really cares for her creatures of light even if she won’t admit it. If you need a laugh, check it out. You’ll be pleasantly amused :) The mangaka is also adorable.
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: I started Tsubasa a while ago because the volumes were at my library. However, they didn’t have all of them and 14 was constantly out. I finally got them and after volume 17, I had to read them online. OMG, it was amazing. Confusing and I still don’t accept parts of it but holy crap was it amazing. It took such a sharp turn and went from cute to serious and dramatic. The ending was bittersweet. It was adorable yet sad at the same time. I definitely loved this one and I want to read it over again. It’ll probably blow my mind the second time around as well.
