Hi, the first Anime movie I ever saw was Spirited Away a few years ago, and it's fair to say it totally blew me away. The fantasy world created by Miyazaki was spectacular, and it left me wanting to experience a hell of a lot more. I followed that up with watching various other titles such as Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. However, after that for reasons beyond me, I went through quite a dry patch for a few years, until a friend of mine rekindled my original affection that I've always held for Anime. He did this by recommending titles such as Interstella 5555 and Vampire Hunter D. These great movies have reinforced my desire towards Anime in general. Whether it's because of the superb Artwork, the stunning characters or the vivid imagination used throughout, I will always have a soft spot for Anime.
Currently I'm trying to get through all the ‘Must-See’ Anime movies, and not focusing too much on the TV aspect, although bear in mind I'm not a complete n00b having seen various shows such as Baccano and Death Note, plus having Monster and Code Geass at the top of my list for the future.
