Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai

Sep 3, 2022

Rarely does an anime live up to its hype.  I passed on this when it first came out despite the hype surrounding it.  I'm actually rather wary of hyped up anime as the majority of them have me scratching my head wondering how they got hyped up so much...but this is an anime fairly worthy of its hype. ...and no, you don't need to be a science major or know much about quantum physics to understand what's going on. -- Story One day at the library, high school student Sakuta Azusagawa sees a spectacle not often seen in such a setting:  A senpai in his high school walking around in a... Romeo no Aoi Sora

Jun 27, 2019

This was the first, and possibly the best, World Masterpiece Theater anime I've watched.  If you have to watch just one WMT anime, this should be the #1 pick. Story Taking place in 19th century Europe, young Romeo is looking forward to a competition in his small village when they are visited by a man known as the "God of Death", who takes an interest in Romeo.  After a series of events when Romeo's father refuses to sell him, in order to save his financially failing family, Romeo agrees to go with the God of Death to become a chimney sweep in Italy...even though kids are known never to... Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World

Oct 29, 2017

I have to say, it's going to be extremely hard to try and keep this review as objective as possible considering certain events.  It will also be difficult to keep some spoilers out, but until the end (where I'll go over why I gave this the rating I did), I'll try to keep all spoilers to a minimum. Though it's one of the better "anime based off of a light novel" I've seen, it's still far from perfect due to a slew of unresolved and unexplained issues.  I would have given this anime a slightly higher overall rating (at least a "7") had at least one of those issues been... Rurouni Kenshin

Jan 12, 2015

I first saw Rurouni Kenshin back when VHS tapes were still a thing.  Yes, I just went there. I loved the characters, the battles, the...well, everything about the series......and then the fillers hit starting at episode 63.  Some of the filler episodes aren't bad, but they're what we call "AO" episodes, or "Anime Originals".  In other words, unlike the rest of the series (minus some fillers here and there), it wasn't based off of the manga. I would have rather seen the Jinchuu/Revenge arc animated than what we got from episode 63 onward, and though RK is one of my top... See full review

Rurouni Kenshin: Seisouhen

Feb 27, 2013

This OVA should never have been made public...or made at all.  Fun fact, Watsuki-sensei had no part in creating it, and was greatly disappointed in it when he saw it.  He had promised the fans a "happy ending" to the Rurouni Kenshin saga, and we got that in the last volume of the manga.  After that, it was done...and then THIS abomination comes out. The only GOOD this OVA did was to animate some of the battle with Enishi; I say SOME, because there are a couple parts in it that didn't happen in the manga, and quite a lot left out of the final battle (not to mention parts leading...
