They told us what the cooking was about? 2 Seconds of her cutting stuff is not telling us what it is about. Explaining something doesn't take a whole episode. even just a few minutes to explain the skill system (automatically introduced seeing as shes doing cooking) is enough. Instead we have to imagine and think of most of the stuff ourselves, this also becomes apparent with the stupid time skips. This anime is about sword fighting? The battles barely last more then 5 minutes. He doesnt hack the game? He changes settings in the game which he could only do going into the code of the game (his final fight against the bad guy.) shows that in some way humans can do more? Cheap and lame excuse trying to be philosophical. How in the hell does it show that? Also, have you actually ever seen a harem anime? Look at Tenchi Muyo, Love Hina, and Ah My Goddess, clannad, koi to senkyo, infinite stratos (the list continues) all of them have a secured pair. Sword Art Online is a harem show and just because it is one doesnt mean its only a harem show. The philosophy you say about this show more pretentious then Angel Beats. Where is the tense death game theme we all wanted? Why is our main character so over powered. Why do the characters make no sense and why are the battles so short and cliche. We barely learn anything about skills, combat systems and game mechanics. Why is it that hes the only player to have a 'special skill' what the hell is up with the completely unnecessary incest? I'll admit I was harsh on my rant (relate to the last paragraph) and I dont have any problem with others having opinions so I'm sorry for calling people who enjoyed the show an idiot.

In regards to my rant: If they're not going to explain the whole cooking idea, then why have it in there in the first place? Adding something there and not explaining it leaves us clueless. Yes it should have been built up like a mmorpg because it is one and maybe they could have if they didnt waste too much time on pointless shit and didnt make it so complicated.  Plotholes? Lol he "hacks" the game inside the game using a game item. Game mechanics gets mentioned for one or two episodes and never appear again. Everything happens off scree. The characters progress ok? Our main character has some serious bipolar disorder in the first few episodes, the romance was horrible there was inconsistency and rushed bullshit characters which only appear for a few episodes and then never become relevent.  You know how all harems end? The main character ends up in love with the 'destined childhood friend' or something like that. Our main character in SAO gets showered by girls and ends up with his 'destined' one, you dont call that a harem? I'd love to have a talk with you about this.
