I didn't like this. I spoiled the ending for myself after episode 12 because I couldn't bear to watch anymore. The plot was a rip-off of every soap opera that has ever aired on TV, and just making it in anime form does not excuse that for me. The characters were some of the least likable I have ever witnessed, and I refuse to acknowledge them as "realistic." Sure, the anime was a lot less cheesy than a lot of romance anime, but that isn't always a good thing. A little bit of sweetness and magic brings a good touch to any love story, and this had none of that. It was just gut-churning misery for fourteen episodes straight (or 12, for me, and if I had watched the last two, I probably would have murdered someone). Nothing was ever happy. When there was a moment of happiness, there were always strings attached, and this was entirely the fault of the extremely flawed characters. Then, the comic relief was stupid and pointless, and I could hardly stand to watch that, either. The blonde girl in the restaurant was unbearable.
I understand the appeal of this anime, but it just was not for me.
