Hello, everyone! My name's Marissa and I'm happy to be here. As a kid, I grew up on DBZ, among other titles. I became more interested in anime about a year ago, when I watched parts of KGNE. Since then, I've been hooked. Now I love anime, especially anime that is romantic. I'm also a fan of shoujo manga, as you can see from my avatar.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Watching Actively:
1. Itazura na Kiss: Character designs still suck, but the plot is not half bad for a romance series. I can see why the manga is a classic.
2. S.A: Looking pretty good right now...I'm glad to see the anime is focusing on all of the characters, just like the manga.
Top Anime Continued:
6. Vampire Knight: OK the spin the anime decided to put on the manga plot was boring and anticlimactic. Yes, the plot is slow in the manga, but also powerful. For some reason, the anime did not have the same shock effect as the manga, which should NEVeR happen. OK enough of what I hated...the anime definitely did a lot right. You have to admit, there is so much chemistry in this show it practically comes out of the characters' ears. Zero's VA was simply amazing. The OP and ED were flawless. Episode 5 was also very well done (my favorite of the series by far, despite being a filler). I PRAY "Vampire Knight: Guilty" is a major improvement on this. I have high expectations.
7. La Corda D'Oro: Good character development, and fun to watch.
8. Aishiteruze Baby: When one little girl changes one bad boy...forever. How could you go wrong in watching the sweetness unfold?
9. Kanon (2006): I needed to watch this one twice to fully appreciate it. It might be slow paced at first, but it tells a tragic, beautiful, heartwarming story. The Makoto arc is my favorite.

Favorite Manga:
1. Fruits Basket: My all-time favorite; an absolute masterpiece! Takes on an entirely different tone from the anime that is much welcomed.
2. Vampire Knight: A dark, chilling, twisted story. The characters have great chemistry.
3. Kodocha: Take the Kodocha anime, cut out all of the filler, add a good ending, and ta-da! you have one amazing manga.
4. S.A: Always makes me laugh; great character dynamics.
5. Shinshi Doumei Cross: The plot twists always left me eager for more. It has a cute romance story to boot. (They really should make an anime). While the ending was disappointing, it's a great manga on the whole.

hello!
Konnichiwa!
Hi littlekitty ^_^
Just wanted to see if you knew yet about the new personal reviews feature on the site? ^_^ I'm going to be removing the forum reviews section within about a month (which includes deleting all of the content in there) and am hoping people will migrate their reviews out into the personal reviews so people on the site can continue to read them.
To add a personal review just go to any entry, click the 'reviews and discussion' tab, and there's a link to add your own review. They work like blogs so you can add pictures/video if you want too, and there are optional score fields. This feature is up for both manga/anime. More info on the feature is in the Site Announcements section of the forum :D
Ttys! ^_^
