Yo,

You can call me Aoi, it's what people tend to call me online these days, it's a feminine given name in Japan, but I started using it when I called myself Aoi Sekai a long time ago because I thought blue world sounded cool(I think I picked it up from a jrock song or something) and now i've sort of got used to being called that name.

I started getting in to Anime in my first college years, when I was around 17. After completing my assignments I would start browsing the internet, and one day while on youtube I stumbled accross Naruto videos and from there I got in to Shounen series.

I wouldn't really say I have a real preference to what I watch, I tend to be pretty open. However my favourites tend to have romance or be dark series like say Claymore for example.

As for my Anime list, as it goes with most of them, my ratings are based on what I was feeling right after I watched it, honestly one series I rated 4 stars, might have been much better than another series I rated 4 stars, I didn't really put any thought in to it. I feel like if I did I would probably bring the ratings down, because the plot might have been clichéd as heck, yet for some reason at the time I really enjoyed it. Also my taste has changed slightly over the years so things I rated low I might enjoy more now and visa versa.

I have a pretty good memory, so I tend to remember the Anime I've seen and the games I've played, so I'm always up for talking about older stuff. If it's a jrpg or a visual novel, I've likely tried it or at least heard of it and there is quite a few series I have not marked but have tried, and if by chance I have not even heard of it, then I am always up for trying it out!

I'm a fan of Gundam. My favourite Gundam series is probably Turn A Gundam, which many people find strange but Gundam Wing and 00 are not far behind. UC Gundam is great and all but honestly I feel like Zeta Gundam really over did the dramatic stuff and after that ZZ Gundam felt like it was leaning more towards comedy to me, though I did not get too far in to that series.

My favourite two Anime series of this year so far is Attack on Titan and Oreimo.

My Anime film is Mononoke Hime.

Favourite Manga is Nausicaa.

I'm a fan of Japanese console Role Playing Games, Persona 3 being one of my favourites. I also like the Monster Hunter series and playing MMORPGS. At the moment though I've been playing tonnes of Dota2.

Because why not?

Oh no don't worry! I'm not really considering Code Geass to be romantic ^_^ Well I mean...sure there's little tidbits of romance here and there, but not like....designed for romance. It just happens to be a favorite of mine. I hope Clannad will. I'm glad that it does :D

And personally, I don't think it was over hyped... idk, someone told me about it and I thought it was going to be but then it did meet my expectations really well. Over and above. But maybe it's just one of those personal opinions I suppose!!! XP

"It's really hard for me to watch an ongoing series. I much prefer to watch things in a few sittings. waiting a week for a 20 minute episode is just too long. I end up forgetting things or becomming less interested."

*high-five* I agree. Normally, when I have a lot of time to watch anime, that's what i prefer as well. I like to watch in blocks. I just haven't had time lately, though, so Toonami works for me. a few hours a week is about as much as I can spare for anime right now.

I can say that I usually never watch series that are not ongoing, thus my schedule is usually filled with ongoing series.  However, once in a while someone tells me about a series, and that usually gives me incentive to get it (which I actually get, since I hate streaming).  Casshern Sins was never a show that I was really interested in or that anyone told me about, and so since it's on Toonami, I might as well knock out two birds with one stone and watch a series I haven't watched before and also support Toonami in its "Give us ratings!" phase.  It being dubbed doesn't matter so much for me, since I hadn't seen it with original audio; but I am a sub>dub person. :3

This also goes hand-in-hand as to why I watch ongoing series.  It's easier for me to watch series on a scheduled basis (such as weekly), rather than watching series in one to a few sittings (unless, ofcourse the series just sucks you in).  I'm basically the complete opposite of Minai when it comes to viewing series. :p

And I see you're watching HxH(2011) and the original HxH; how's that going?
