Well, I turned in my story today. It wasn't as polished as I wanted it to be because I had a weekend guest that I wanted to keep entertained, but I can take the harsh critiques during my planned workshop next week. From your recommendations of the Vampire Knight series I'll probably watch it sometime after thanksgiving but before Christmas--still pretty busy right now. It's cool that you're interested in a lot of art forms; if you don't keep an observation journal you should give it a try. I have a journal that keeps my creative thinking moving all the time. I hope you enjoy Lovely Complex if you give it a try. There aren't any stoic vampires in it, but most of the story happens in the day so that makes sense.
My current piece is about how a partying-type of person meets a hermit--maybe I bit strange but it's coming along well. I might think about DA a little later after I finish a few more works. What kind of art did you view/post when you used the site often? Writing? Drawing? Well talk to you later.
P.S.- How were the Vampire Knight series?
Thanks for the message, and glad you've enjoyed it. Always nice to see people using my sigs :)
Haha, no my stories definitely haven't been published anywhere; all the stories I'm working on right now are for my Creative Writing major application. The one closest to completion still needs a lot of work--it's due on Tuesday.
Lovely Complex isn't for everyone but it hit the right nerve with me. Lately, I've been sick of "epic" fiction so the simplier shows with interesting characters have caught my eye. I haven't seen Vampire Knight or Twilight, but I'll add the former to 'want to watch' list. I don't think I'll go out of way for Twilight; I read the first few lines of each book and decided that it wasn't for me. Also, some of the imagery my sister shared with me almost induced vomitting. Fads usually push me back a few years anyway--I still haven't read a Harry Potter book even though I think they're interesting. I think I might play night-tennis with this strong, stoic vampire but I couldn't say I love him. I'll probably have some time to watch another show after my current short story is critiqued later this month.
