I've been watching anime since I was very young, with the Dragon Ball and Gundam franchises, and other typical shōnen faire. In my teens I was captivated by shows like Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star and Flame of Recca: and great films like Akira, X/1999 and Ghost in The Shell. As I approached my twenties my interest in anime began to wane and I stopped watching all together. Now after a seven year hiatus, I've begun watching anime once more. After ruminating on the subject for quite some time, I think my abscence is due to the fact that I was beginning to find shonen boring and insipid. Unbeknownst to me until very recently, there is a wealth of Seinen and more sophisticated shows out there. With that considered, it seems I really do have my work cut out for me.
I'm an avid reader, and the topics I'm most interested in are science, politics, philosophy and religion. I'm a lover of debate and dialectic because I love nothing more than having a discussion with people. Especially those of opposing viewpoints. I am also a digital artist though I seldom draw anime. I'm a very open-minded and non judgemental person, so feel free to leave me a comment, wether to reccomend a show to me or just to chat. I love meeting people and making friends, so don't hesitate.
