Hah - I've never considered "nerd" a pejorative myself.  I'll be the first one to label myself a nerd and I proudly stand by the title.  Hell, I consider "socialite" or whatnot an insult. =P

And do let me know what you think of my reviewing style - I always like feedback/input since it's typically out of my realm of expertise (though I am starting to a develop a stronger, unique voice imo.)

Oh, and do you think you'd be interested in writing reviews yourself?  Chauvanist that I am, I'm always on the lookout for people with strong writing skills who would potentially be interested in joining the team.  The more the merrier, after all (even you!) =)

To an extent, maybe, but I can't say that description is off-key with me either. =P

Though I've grown to be a lot more outgoing online, I tend not to amass groups of friends or even participate much in social networking and the like (I hate the word "social" to be honest XD.)  Still, I don't think recognizing strong written talent is indictative of friendships or anything of the sort - after all, I only stumbled upon your profile after noticing how good your recs were. =)

And I've got another three weeks left for school after which I must go job hunting - my college funds are running annoyingly low. ^^;

Hm, your profile is decidedly void of comments.  Why is that?  Your recs are absolutely splendid (both in reason and content) and you certainly deserve more flowering praise than you're getting!

And good luck with your PhD work! I have a friend with a PhD in Econ who just recently finished up his degree and he's told me how tough it can be at times.  Stick with it! =)
