Oh, so Japan is pretty dangerous after all... A "kind of" mafia gang, running around in Japan's undergrounds and causing mischief, and police men that doesn't believe they exist... But it's kind of okay i guess, since it's pretty rare somebody encounter them ^^

But that "Train Man" TV-drama, sounds interesting. I'll be sure to watch it, when I have enough time to do so.

Wow, do they really take everything THAT serious? I know they're sensitive and such, but i didn't know that^^ Actually, I've never heard of or watched "Denshu Otaku". What is it about? And isn't an Otaku a big Anime fan, not man. Oh, and also, what's Yakuza? Is it like a Japanese Mafia or something?

i will definately have to check out that top 5... darn, my 'want to watch' list is getting longer by the day lol. but yeah, elfen lied was ok for me, a little graphic for my taste but none the less a good watch... ooh and i agree with Talburt, outlaw star is really good, ive started to rewatch it again since i watched it on toonami years ago (back when it was worth watching... and still in existance) along with gundam wing, ruroni kenshin, and yu yu hakasho... all of which are pretty good in my opinion ;)

Cool Top 5 Anime!

Now seeing your top 5 and because I forgot about it last time (I seem to always forget about this anime, even though it is one of my favs) I recommend Outlaw Star for a new series to watch.  Its kinda like a Bebop/Trigun mix.  Its a whole lot of fun.

Hey everyone,

     Thanks for all the great input.  Since I think you can not see my top 5-  There is a 3-way tie basically between the ongoing and ever awesome One Piece (an nudge above the rest since it is still going...)  Also, Champloo (obvious since I have Mugen as an avatar), and Bebop.  Both truly works of art.  I included two films, Ninja Scroll, I saw this movie right about the same time I saw Akira (everyone was talking up Akira so much but I felt I think Ninja Scroll really paved the way to my super addiction to anime), since I consider it the leader of the pack, it is in my top 5.  Also I added Perfect Blue to show I am not just an action based anime fan.  I love it all!

Honorable mention to Vampire Hunter D, and anything Miyazaki.

I am slowly trying to go through all the other anime I have watched in the long time I have been a fan, but some names don't pop up immediately.  I had a friend that was a huge fan and we watched something new every day for about 6 months.

Hi and welcome to AP. Hmm if there are some anime that i would recommend I would have to say if you havn't seen them Wolfs Rain, Gurren Lagann, i'd also recommend like everyone else Full Metal Alchemist. Japan huh. I acutally plan on moving out there after i finish my game and simulation degree. Would you recommend it.
