I started watching anime in the summer of 1998 with Sailor Moon on CN's Toonami. (I was 11! ZOMG!)

I've watched a good amount of anime (not as much as some people on here) but I know about more. I've seen WAY too many AMVs, but I really do love them. :)

I also need to spend less time on the site, and more on watching anime... X_X (Look at my "want to watch" section! WTF!?)

recent activities:

• October/November - watched Kaleido Star... it's the only anime of that length I've watched with no filler... it was really good too!; finally finished Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei... i really liked the twist from the original storylines; finished GA! Geijutsuka Design Class... really good translation of what I belive was a 4-panel gag strip to an anime... so fun!; started watching a bunch of Fall shows... haven't had time to take a look at all the ones I want to watch, but I've liked everything so far but Tegami Bachi (Letter Bee), which was just... agh, so much potential, so many cliches
• 10/19 - finished Umi Monogatari... it started off so light and fluffy, and then went super dark... by the end it went from a 3 out of 5 to a solid 4 stars... watch it!
• 10/12 - watched Tokyo Majin 1 and 2... even with the lack of a completely proper ending, still reeeeeally good!
• September - finished Canaan... soooo good!  i kind of want there to be a sequel, i think there's enough story for a short OVA or two... also finished Aoi Hana, which i wasn't even expecting to watch... it definitely needs a sequel, the story's only started! ... and finally, finished Spice and Wolf II... I demand a sequel to this, the story's not over yet!  More Horo!
• 8/19 - watched Karas... not only was it freaking gorgeous, the story was fabulous... and I loved the little snail youkai... so cute!
• 8/16 - marathoned Antique Bakery... delicious cake + child kidnapping = halfway decent show... though i'm still extremely uncomfortable with its problematic portrayal of predatory homosexuals... not cool, japan
• 8/14 - finished watching Get Backers... nice flow, nice arcs, nice filler... pretty impressed... character designs (especially clothes and hair) are totally 90's though
• 7/22 - just finished watching Baccano! on Mika's suggestion... very impressed, great anime... apparently there are OVAs I need to watch
• June/July - omg, so the summer season has started up, and now that I'm actually watching stuff as it comes out (I'm watching 16 shows from 2009 right now, spring and summer seasons) it's getting a little ridiculous... will write a short summer 2009 review later, but for now, don't watch NEEDLESS ... that is all :)
• 5/29 - watched Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann; it was better than the hype... omg, go watch it
• 5/21 - watched Kaiba; it was a little weird, but probably one of the best animes I've ever watched... and I don't think I've ever cried more per episode... refreshingly, it's about memories and such, but they never wax philosophical
• 5/17 - watched Yami no Matsuei/Descendants of Darkness; the only reason I watched the whole thing was because I've wanted to watch it for literally years... now, I feel like I just watched 13 episodes of really bad, cheesy, soft-core gay porn :(
• 5/10 - watched Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai (AKA Munto TV); it was much better than the two movies, it gave a greater sense of the scope and epicness of the plot... they also chose not to stick filler in, kthx
• 5/2 - watched The Place Promised in Our Early Days; it's by the same guy who did Hoshi no Koe, except this is even better... fabulous anime
