Oh, be sure to let me know when you start watching Attack on Titan and tell me what you think of it. I showed the first episode to a friend who now refuses to watch any more of it. He hated it!  I, however, didn't have the same reaction...  so I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

Not yet on your anime list, but worth checking out to see if you have any interest:

\r\n

Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - One of my favorite viewing experiences. They were creating the first series, FMA, while the manga was still being written so while the first part of the series is very similar to the manga, the middle and ending are quite different.  Second series, Brotherhood, was created after the manga series was completed and follows the manga storyline much more closely. However, a lot of the first part of the story was more thoroughly covered in the first series. I recommend seeing them both, in chronological order.

\r\n

Hotarubi no Mori e - one of my favorite anime movies; a tale of a forest spirit and his friendship with a human girl

\r\n

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - this popular anime has a bit of everything: comedy, adventure, romance, mechas!

\r\n

Trigun - this comedy adventure has a serious understory and a loveable goofball of a hero in Vash the Stampede

\r\n

Please let me know if you decide to watch any of these and let me know if you enjoyed or not.

Hi, this anime hobby of mine was kind of taking over all the space in my apartment, I had to do something! LOL

\r\n

Took a quick look at your Anime List and have the following notes.  From your Want to Watch list:

\r\n

Another - a good horror/mystery series. Most horror in anime isn't very well developed plotwise, but this one had a decent story behind it.

\r\n

Antique Bakery - I wanted to see this for a long time before I saw it. A relaxing kind of anime viewing which I enjoyed. Sadly, though, it didn't live up to its full potential to me; it had storylines and characters I would've liked to have seen more about.

\r\n

Attack on Titan - watch this! *smile*  It's kind of memorable. When I was finished watching it, I'd rated it 3.5 stars. But scenes from it kept popping into my mind and this "memorability" factor made me decide to bump it up to a 4-star rating for me.

\r\n

Death Note - if you haven't read the manga or seen the anime, you should. Even if only to get to know the iconic characters since they are frequently mentioned in the anime world. I thought the ending was lame, but the ride to get there was thrillingly intriguing!

\r\n

Jigoku Shoujo - I have to admit, I've only seen a couple of episodes. Which were both actually the same episode with different characters... in other words, I thought this was a boring unexciting repetitive riff of the same theme done over and over.  I won't be finishing watching this anytime soon and recommend others to avoid it.  Your decision.

\r\n

Neon Genesis Evangelion - Another negative review. I suggest you -do- watch this one, because it is iconic and the characters are a cliche every anime fan should know about and understand. But to me, the anime is just a bunch of pretentious philosophical psycho-babble and not at all the "masterpiece" it has a reputation of being.

\r\n

Nodame Cantabile - a cute romance, especially this first season. My friends do not agree with my assessment that the next two seasons are not really worth watching to add value to the first season. They loved the entire franchise. Me, I'm content to recommend only the first season, and then watch the rest only if you just can't get enough...

\r\n

Saiyuki - it's been a while since I've seen this. I watched it some time ago with my sister, and IIRC we both had a lot of fun with it.  Not the best I've seen, but really enjoyable nonetheless.

\r\n

Steins;Gate - a little slow to get going, but by episode 10 or so, you really know the characters and are "into" them and the action/story really starts to ramp up. This very nearly became the first anime I rated as 5-stars... but the slow start caused me to bump my rating down to 4.5.  Still, amongst the best anime I've seen!

\r\n

Welcome to the NHK! - another one I wanted to watch for a long time, and by the time I actually got to see it, it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had.  I didn't enjoy it much. Not as much as I'd hoped.
