Greetings all, welcome to my profile, I have updated this once again.

Grew up with a love for science fiction and fantasy, which eventually led me to anime. I tend to prefer thought-provoking shows with dark and tragic elements. Shows with elements a bit left of centre or slightly odd tend to catch my attention.

A reason I got really into anime is the way some stories are told. Shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion have ambiguity which leaves it up to the viewer to decide certain things. In Ghost in the Shell, I enjoyed pondering the notion of identity and cyborgs. Are they human beings if parts of them are robotic? Are cyborgs human if they have a soul? So it's these things, combined with the joy of escaping reality that drew me into the world of anime.

That being said, I am also open-minded and don't mind romance and slice of shows on the odd occasion. I like to spend time researching shows I might like, hence why I'm on Anime-Planet. The recommendations aspect I find very helpful.

I rate a show purely on how much I enjoyed it.

Hello!  sothis is redesigning the anime-planet site, and plans to roll out an awesome new site design in July, we believe. The blog feature is not part of the new design, and it is going away.  More information about this here:  Announcement: the blog feature is being deprecated topic link.  (Be sure to check out the new site design when it goes live!)

The blog pages are going away, and will be gone when the site redesign goes live. Your blog here will be removed from the site.

So, if want to keep the information posted in your blog, you will need to copy this information someplace else on the site. If you have any questions how or where to do this, please feel free to get back to me, and I will try to assist.

I know you moved some AMV info OUT of your bio and into your blog, but now it would be best to move it back INTO your bio, or initiate a discussion topic in the site's forum to elicit commentary from other members here.

Yeah, Shingeki no Kyojin is great, and as a big fan of the manga I can tell you it just gets better and better as it goes. As for Aku no Hana I was a tad disappointed at first by the change of animation/art style, but I've gotten used to the rotoscoping by now and it's fine (there was also this scene in the latest ep where it was used splendidly, plus the rest of technical aspects are very good).Oh, and Game of Thrones Season 3 is being pretty epic as well! I have yet to watch eps 7 and 8 due to exams, so I'm looking forward to getting to that. They're doing a really good job in adapting the third book, they are even dedicating 20 eps to it which shows just how much the directors love the material.Anyway, hopefully at some point you'll get a bit of spare time to come join the forums. Until then! =)
