"I actuallly (finally) wrote a review about From the New World, so you can check it out here: http://www.anime-planet.com/users/jypsyjulia/reviews/26711. I really, really recommend it. It took me a bit to get into it, but once I was...I was hooked, haha.
As for Monster, it follows the story of Dr. Tenma, a brain surgeon who chose to save a little boy's life one day and that little boy grew up to be the worst serial killer than Germany has seen...to the point that they want to make him the second Hitler. Now, Dr. Tenma has to decide if it would be better to exterminate a man like that or if killing someone would just make him as bad as his enemy. It's amazing. Definitely recommend!
Are you watching/reading anything good at the moment?"
I definitely plan to, it seems really good :) I have watched a few animes that where like that but they almost always seem to be great.
Hmm...it does sound quite interesting. I might give it a try after I catch up with the animes that I am currently behind on. （＾ｖ＾）
Well, a few of the animes that I am watching would be Servamp, Assassination Classroom 2nd Season, Durarara!!, & rewatching Sword Art Online.
Servamp is really great and I definitely recommend it. (*＾v＾*)
**Sorry for the late reply, it has been a hectic month.
Hi! I hope you're doing well despite how much you're probably studying!
Since you told me before about how great Re:Zero was, I thought I'd tell I actually started watching it! I only started a few days ago, but I'm already pretty far into the anime. It's so enjoyable that I can't stop watching it!
Hey girl! How's life been? you still teaching abroad? I have been good, life is so unexpecting, turns out I will be moving to Costa Rica long term if all goes as planned, I have more of a life there then I do here, kinda depressing once you come back to the states after living such an adventure somewhere else. where have you been? what is new?
Yeah she's fine, well for an 86 yr old lol
Idk what happened really, her sugar got real low for some reason (which isn't something she's had issues w/ historically) and she fell and couldn't get up. The neighbors found her cause they were checking up w/ her since my parents were away last week on vacation. Called the ambulence and she was in the hospital for like 4 days. But she's been fine since she's been home, in fact she's been feeling much better than she was even before she went to the hospital.
Aww poor JJ *hug* :(
Yeah I liked it better than I thought I would tbh. At 1st I thought it would be too much of a crappy Titan clone. But its only really like that at the start, the 2nd half is quite different entirely. Really the 1st half is a less exciting version of Titan and the 2nd half is (at least to me) a less exciting version of Guilty Crown. But I mean, its certainly a really interesting mashup, not something I would've thought of going in. U should definitely watch it if ur interested :)
I see, it's no wonder you would be tired! Hopefully, things will settle down a little later on... Do your best with the work you have to do!
Oh, you're caught up? That's great! I'll try to get back to reading it soon, and once I do it shouldn't take too long for me to reach the latest chapter.
No, I haven't read the manga. I heard it didn't have much to do with the anime and was really inferior to it, so I never really looked into it. But if you say it's interestin, I might give it a chance at some point!
I don't think that's the case. I wouldn't really make sense to suddenly make a sequel to such an old anime. I more likely that it's a sequel to the more recent movie trilogy.
