so this manga is basically about some guy called ichigo. he has the power to see ghosts and supernatural stuff. so one day a hollow, a demonic spirit who feeds off the spiritual energy of humans, ends up in his house and then a soul reaper called rukia comes to save the guy. she fails so she lets ichigo have some of her power and ichigo just whoops the hollow's ass. rukia tells the guy who she is and asks ichigo to join her and he does. so now he has to protect the world from other hollows.
