I'm a 23 year old social work student, geek extraordinare - RPGs, slash fanfic, weird Internet memes, I do it all - and I've been watching anime since the crappy dubbed version of Sailor Moon was on Toonami. (Naru/Nephrite is an awesome set of eps even when Naru has a godawful New York accent.) I tend to love shoujo or slice-of-life stuff, and feel bored during heavy action or mecha anime, but I'm always willing to try out a new rec if there are good characters and things are thoughtful, but not so thoughtful that I need a freaking guide to understand it and get something out of it. I have yet to figure out if I would like Evangelion. :)

Awesome, I thought I was the only person to feel bored watching mecha animes. Sure it was fun and cool when I was 12 years old but now... no thanks, give me a slice of life having fun comedy or a deep story of honor to get me excited! lol. Even though I am a dude, I even enjoyed some of sailor moon for its simplistic slice of life style.. not really a fan of the fighting stuff from it though. Seeing as Air is your number 1, I am curious to watch it myself... I guess its that good huh?
