No why would you? I just commented how your preferences somewhat influence your judgment a bit too much. Your taste is quite obvious through them and it quite neglects that some of your lower rated anime satisfy all the qualities you mentioned in grades above. With that I must say that this is MY opinion but anyway...It´s nothing elite or anything but it seems like your standards mess your prespective of other anime qualities.
I mostly agree with what you said that it´s a great plus if anime is fulfilling what it tends to be, or succeeding in it´s inital goal. With that said I would have expected of you to think of Elfen Lied (not like I care or anything but will be a good example). It´s anime that tends to be quite a mess and emotional as fuck, and it does that almost perfectly. Other qualities also fit (at least in my opinion but it´s still fulfilling all the above mentioned, by you) which is quite funny when comparing to other above graded anime which lack that some few qualities but still get up-graded. That sadly makes no sense for me. And thrust me, I can be overly cynical so I could basicly scavage all the little pieces and compare and we would end up with complete crossing of mentioned graded anieme. And that is by the omnipresent sense of logic in this universe, and logic of your grading sistem. Either you are not considerate enough or don´t apreciate the things I do (which is perfectly fine becasue "each mouth,other soup" thingy...") or your thastes influence too much (and I think it´s the case). Would love to see some reviews so I could proble your mind a bit.
But still I would lie if I said that tastes don´t influence my judgment. For example I tend to give all anime which satisfy your 8+ grade a 4/5. And 4.5 and 5 are all my personal prefrences OR really good anime that I simply can´t grade lower.
I usually enjoy anime that tend to rape my mind and occupy my thoughts for a time being (mindfuck). So we are in the same pot basicly... though I am obviously writing this because I consider your grading sistem excellent but your graded anime wrong... which makes me a idiot who basicly spent 20 minutes writing an esay about -
"You suck!"
"NO, you suck!"
-thingy, kind of situation. To conclude this; we all have preferences but I think yours go a bit more from there!
