It is time. I have held off for a long time reviewing this anime but after I read some internet commentary that rubbed me the wrong way, I must now review this mess of an anime known as Elfen Lied. On a private, government/military(?) owned Island, a naked woman with telekinesis escapes resulting in the untimely demise of quite a few guards and a hapless secretary until this woman is shot in the head causing her to fall in to the ocean. However, because she is wearing some super titanium-like alloy helmet, she lives but with no memory of who she is, or what she is and with no basic human speech other than... See full review
As an individual who loves to be challenged by an anime, and pick up on a "things are not what they seem" theme, I stumbled across this series by complete accident and dare I say I enjoyed every nonsensical minute of it. We, Without Wings - Under the Innocent Sky isn't good for what it is, it excells at what it hides from you.
It is hard to write this review without spoiling some major plot points but I shall do my best.
In the City of Yanahigara, a seemingly large cast of characters live their lives affecting people that they meet and helping each other out the best they can, but... See full review
Saya is a half-human, half-vampire hybrid sworn to protect the world from Chiropterans with her trusty Katana and her Red Shield partners behind her. Oh, wait..this is the real Saya who appeared in one classic anime film, one good anime series, and one interesting live action adaptation. Which brings me to Blood C. What can I say about this look at an iconic anime character and not sound biased? Absolutely nothing. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you my review of Blood-C or as I like to call "The abortion that was the marriage between Production I.G. (the geniuses behind the franchise) and Clamp (The... If you have not witnessed this one as of yet I really recommend you get yourself over to any site streaming this and dive into the first few episodes. For anyone familiar with the manga, Deadman Wonderland is the tale of Ganta Igarashi, a seemingly normal 15 year old attending school and getting ready to take a field trip to an amusement park called "Deadman Wonderland". Ganta is going to go, but for all the wrong reasons. To not go on and on about it, I will sum it up thusly: Ganta's entire class is slaughtered for no seemingly good reason by an unknown antagonist, Ganta is... See full review
Story: Minato has just failed his college entrance exam for the second time, establishing that he really has not a lot going on in his life when by fate a girl literally falls out of the sky introducing us to Sekirei and the story: Sekirei are 108 intergalactic beings discovered by the head of a generic Conglomerate known as MBI who for reasons unknown to us decides to use these beings in a game known as the Sekirei Plan where each has to fight the other until the last sekirei is standing and whose reward is to be able to spend eternity with her/his Ashikabi. As much as the idea of the story pulls me in... See full review
