Toradora! Group

My most recently watched anime, which I admit is a re-watch, Toradora! This has recently  sprung up to number one on my list of favorites. As I curled up with my fluffy cat Thom/ Tama-kitty (nick-named after Tamaki Suoh), I not only was looking to enjoy the series, but to understand what I liked about it. What it boiled down to was a good plot, good characters and a good point.

-The Plot- Although the basic concept is common, I feel that it was exicuted quite well. Also I thought that Toradora! was low on fillers, which helped to keep my interest. Each episode had meaning to the story.

-The Characters- I enjoyed the use of mirrors in the characters, Ryuuji and Taiga, Minori and Ami, Taiga and Minori, Kitamura and Ami, Taiga's Father and Yasuko. I also noticed that each character had one or more similar character, Taiga and Ami, Kitamura and Minori, Taiga and Ryuuji, Ryuuji and Minori, Kitamura and Yasuko. At first the group of friends seem unlikely, but as the anime progresses, the connections become more and more evident.

-The Point- I feel like anything without a moral or point isn't really worth my time. Fluff anime, as I like to call it, is only good for when I don't want to think. The point I found in Toradora! is not only opposites attract, but that love can come from where you least expect it and that even though you may not see it at first, everyone has their own hardships.

That is my in depth review of Toradora!, or at least as in depth as I could get without huge spoilers. That's all for now, hope you enjoyed my first blog!

I liked how having a crush was a central plot point but in the end really not important. and that love grows over time and how it shoes its really a struggle to be truthfull to yourself.
