Well, this blog wraps up the 30 Days of anime. I'm partially glad it's over, partially wishing I had more days to continue flooding my facebook with awesome anime... To the winners!
Day 22 - Favorite josei anime (Kuragehime)
What isn't there to love about Kuragehime? The art is amazing, the characters are hilarious, and the plot is interesting. The only downside I found about Kuragehime is that it left a few things open-ended, but then again, I havent' read the manga.
Day 23 - Anime you think had the best, or most intriguing art (Jigoku Shoujo)
This one was a last minute decision on my part. I tend to look more at the fluidity of the animation than the actual artistic aspect, but there was one episode of Jigoku Shoujo that caught my attention to the art. Others, like Kuragehime, Mushi-shi, etc. have wonderful art, but I liked Jigoku Shoujo's the best.
Day 24 - Favorite anime hero or heroine (Sunako from Wallflower)
So, she's not your traditional hero, but she is awesome. Between her nose-bleeds around chic people, her collection of occult objects, and her insane cosplaying abilities, she stole the spotlight away from potential magic girls. And the few scenes where she went all out, like the scene on my profile page, definitely made her an awesome heroine.
Day 25 - Best anime villain (Gntarl from Munto)
Why him and not, say Darcia from Wolf's Rain or Akito from Fruits Basket? Because neither of them tried to destroy heaven, that's why. This guy was trying to "protect the heavenly lands" by making them crash into the earth... Insane is an understatement with this guy.
Day 26 - Your favorite harem anime (Tenchi Muyo)
I usually don't like Harem Anime, with a few exceptions being Sekirei and Tenchi Muyo. Why Tenchi? Well, it kind of started the whole Harem genre. Alien chicks with superpowers all ganging up on a "normal" human guy started popping up after Tenchi Muyo's release in the early 1990's. And I have a girl-crush on Washu...
Day 27 - Favorite anime opening theme song ("Chemistry" by Period)
I tend to skip past the OP and ending songs, but this one drew my attention, made me want to hear it, and ultimately, made it's way onto my mp3 player. Then again, I tend to like most of the OP's for the FMA franchise, so it's not too surprising that I loved "Chemstry".
Day 28 - Favorite pokemon (Espeon)
I missed out on the Pokemon craze that happened when I was in elementary school. I dunno, it just didn't take. While my cousins were collecting the cards, and my best friend had a crush on Ash, I simply said "Nope, not for me." So, this one was a bit of a "Let's see if there's a pokemon I like visually." Espeon happened to be my favorite color, psychic, and had a forked tail... and was a cat... (Probably could have gone with Mew or MewTwo, but I liked Espeon)
Day 29 - Favorite/Least Favorite English Dub (Black Lagoon)
As I tend to watch most of my anime dubbed if I can find it, I quickly find that english dubbing doesn't work all the time. Black Lagoon worked well, the voice actors suited the characters fairly well. Least favorite (Ouran High School Host Club and the annoyance that was Honey-sempai's english voice)
Day 30 - Anime character you want to cosplay (Lia de Beaumont from Le Chevalier D'Eon)
Why Lia? Because I get to wear a giant dress from the 1700's. I grew up going to Renaissance Fairs and ogling the beautiful dresses that were simply too expensive for me to buy. So, why Lia and not some other woman from that era? She fights with a sword and does magic by saying pslams, that's why.
And That’s it.
