Didn't get into anime until my third year of college, while pursuing a humanities degree with a film emphasis, so I tend to think about anime differently than most. Now teaching English in Japan - anime has accelerated my Japanese listening comprehension and given me some insights into Japanese culture - though it has led me into misunderstandings as often as not!
