Born and raised in Fairbanks, AK. Alaska's a great place to live, plenty of wildlife to see while traveling. Great views in winter as well. Aside from anime, I like to read various novels, poetry, short story collections, and manga. I also like to write. I've been watching anime since I was a little one.
I still remember my first glimpse of anime, I think it was a couple seconds of Akira. The first anime movie I ever watched was Galaxy Express 999 and that was the movie that got me hooked into the world of anime. Ever since then, I've always managed to get a hold of as much anime as my eyes can get a hold of.
When I'm not watching anime or reading, I'm usually working on my novel or one of my other stories that I've been hammering away. One of my favorite characters is Nobue from Strawberry Marshmallow. Sometimes I'm a little vacant-minded whenever I'm writing, I'll be entirely focused and might end up forgetting I'm signed on or talking to someone.
What came to a realization the other month is I'm an extremely private individual. Some of the people who've called me friend at one point in time was extremely surprised to see me as I was at the gas station getting something to drink. They believed that I was out of town or in college. When in truth, I've been in this town ever since I graduated from high school, just managed to find plenty of solitary activities.
Whenever I get into writing, it's difficult to get me out of it. I enjoy observing most of the time, watching as people go by, observing the changes of light on the mountainsides during the sun setting across the horizon, or through the landscapes subtle changes as the night passes. One of the other things I love to do is walk, whether its walking for a day or two, or twelve hours, it doesn't matter.
Social life taxes me, and I find solitude to be relaxing. For this year, my goal is to complete my novel and have it good enough to submit to agents. With that, my indirect goal is to enter the publication process this year.

Wow, thanks... that's really encouraging to hear! With your passion, I'm sure you will accomplish great things. That's exciting! As much as I love writing, I chose to go to school for something else entirely, and now I have to divide my time between a different career and my writing. I'm the same way as you, though: if I want it badly enough, I'll stop at nothing to get it. I figure I might as well try with this. I'd love to see my ideas become a reality. I wish you the best! Hope to read one of your works one day.

I'm glad you enjoyed Gawl too. I've never heard anyone say anything good about that series. That sounds like an interesting story surrounding your first copy.
