Hey :) I love anime ^_^ Since School started again I wont be watching as much but ill watch some every now and then XD i love romance anime =D *my favorite genre of course
I guess im not very picky about genre but i am about everything else XD and i especially am picky about the animation :P I like very delicate looking characters and I love it when they make all the guys look so gorgeous with the girl-like hair and beautiful faces 8DDDD with the exception of some anime like Samurai Champloo which i just loved ^^
some of the ones i really loved are: Ouran high school host club, Special A, Fate/stay night,Vampire knight/Vampire knight guilty,Full metal alchemist,Cowboy Bebop, Neo Angelique Abyss,Skip Beat!,Code Geass, Samurai Champloo and Black cat. They are all great ^_^
Since i couldn't pick my 5 favorite anime i decided to make it top 7 ^-^

Hey! You're the first person to ask me for a recommendation!! ^_^ Let's see here, you like romance animes, and you also liked FMA... How about Tenchi Muyo? It's a 13 episode series about a normal guy who gets caught in a love triangle between a space pirate, a mad scientist, and a royal princess. It's pretty hillarious, and it has some good action too.
