Unsolicited recommendations!

I was curious to see what the site lists as good Fantasy/Shounen/Mystery anime, since those are the genres you list as your favorites.  The site lists Pandora Hearts as the only anime that fits all three. Turns out you've seen it already (and loved it, if your 5-star rating is any indication).

So, I'll give you my personal recommendations for each genre.

Fantasy: I always recommend Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for those that haven't seen them. Although not traditional fantasy, these are absorbing suck-you-into-the story animes that have become classics.

The original was aired as the manga was being written, so it quickly passed the written storyline and a new ending different from the manga was created. The first part of the series follows the manga storyline pretty closely, but it diverges significantly by the middle and end.  Brotherhood was created later after the manga was completed, and follows the written story much more closely. However, the first part is not as thorough because that material was covered in the original Fullmetal Alchemist series.  So I recommend seeing both!

Do you like anime movies? Spirited Away is a classic, and a Miyuzaki movie I enjoyed. This next one is not listed as fantasy by the site, but it has elements of fantasy in it, and I love this movie: Hotarubi no Mori e. It is slower-paced but a truly touching story. No shounen elements, though...

Shounen: Will recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and related (same director) Kill La Kill (<-- I haven't watched much of this yet myself, but fans of the series are fanatical in their devotion!  It is very popular).  I enjoyed JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) and as a bonus, there is a new season of this coming out next month: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.  Or how about an old classic, Trigun?

Mystery: I haven't seen many anime mystery series myself, so I'll just limit my recs to Seirei no Moribito, Hyou-ka: You Can't Escape and Monster.
