This is the Hundred-and-thirty-second week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers.
After the "accident" last week, I got sent to a local hospital. Spending all my time getting my head checked out wasn't fun, but I was able to meet a few of the people that were going in and out.
One was a blue-haired girl that seemed to be somewhat sad...
Today is her story.
Today's girl is:
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Hair: Sayaka has short hair, and it's a light blue/green color. Mostly blue, of course, but probably more specifically turquoise. As much as I like the color, turquoise isn't the best of hair colors for my blog (but that doesn't mean that it's terrible). She has clips behind her ears, which add cuteness. She does have a point in front, though you can't see it from all angles. She does have a boyish look to her, though.
Eyes: She has rounded blue eyes, more blue than her hair. It does make a good contrast, of course, and it does look good. It matches her magical girl outfit, as well. Her eyes are a good example of a Tareme, especially as it becomes more revealed that her naivete is a powerful point. There's an image of her crying that I find to be particularly moving as well.
I haven't done any other Madoka girls, so I should explain something about them. They have very scratchy eyes. As if done in colored pencil or something. It's hard to explain, and I do dislike the style. Though it is done uniquely, and it fits the show well, of course. It just draws me away from them. But anyway, Sayaka does have the advantage of being one of the least noticeable in this way, so I didn't decrease her score for it.
Face: I do have to say that I love Madoka's art style in this area. The puni, hidamari-style is certainly adorable. She also has ran a gambit of emotions, so she's great there too.
Build: Sayaka is pretty thin and boyish looking. Maybe just slightly, but the intent is there. She does have a nice waist and body, but could be considered "average" in this area.
Your Sayaka has evolved into a Magical Girl!
Breasts: While she isn't nearly as impressive as Mami, she does seem to have something. Either that, or her magical girl outfit pushes and pads what little she has...
Clothes: Sayaka usually wears her school uniform, which consists of a yellow over-shirt over a white shirt, a plaid miniskirt, and a big red bow tie. As previously mentioned, her magical girl outfit matches her eyes, being a dark blue. Otherwise, it seems like the artist (Ume) wanted a more "realistic" design, giving her a bustier-like top with a second "shirt" under it. Occasionally, her navel shows, revealing some type of jewel on it. As a minus, let it be known that I do dislike it being strapless (I don't like strapless outfits in general). It does give a bit of a "maid" motif, so that may be a plus. She wears a long white cape as well as dark grey/black gloves. Probably her best feature would also be her thigh-highs. I don't like the style of boots they gave her, though.
Personality: Sayaka cares deeply for others, and even "sold her soul" to save another (I'll explain that in the next part). However, this means that she's also fairly naive about how the world works, especially as her brand of Justice just keeps inching herself closer to a mental breakdown. She refuses to use the grief seeds to heal herself, eventually failing to keep it together and turning into Oktavia von Seckendorff.
What Sayaka looks like in witch form. Well, at least one of them...
Overall, Sayaka is a very gungho and reckless character. She attacks using a sword, and her witch form also uses music-based attacks in addition. Due to her wish, she also has some regenerative properties. She's fairly hot-blooded, and is a justice seeker. Eventually, she becomes a kind of berserker, attacking wildly rather than attempting to be defensive. She's a major idealist, which also hurts her due to which series she was put into as it's a very "realist" show. She eventually loses the will to protect others due to a very vulgar conversation she overhears on a train between two young men, and may have killed them.
I can't forget her voice actress, either. Eri Kitamura is a great VA, and she did Sayaka justice (pun not intended).
Sayaka met her unfortunate end during a few timelines, where she usually becomes a witch. The latest one made Kyouko have her last stand with Oktavia as well (though due to the end, Kyouko was able to come back). Her final wish was to hear Kyousuke's violin one last time...
Libido: Sayaka's love life is one of tragedy. Her main love, a boy named Kyousuke, really doesn't know how much in love she is. She even used her wish to heal his hand, giving him a new lease on life. However, Sayaka was never able to admit her feelings to him, and one of her friends (Hitomi) was able to admit her feelings first.
However, this does not mean that she will be alone. You see, as a magical girl anime, there are obvious yuri overtones. She did feel for Madoka in the beginning, though so did Mami, and Homura obviously won her. But I can't fully explain her libido without talking about Kyouko. That pairing is fairly obvious, as they're rivals. It's hard to say which one would be the "guy" as both are fairly boyish, but it is a good couple. Even the original character designer (Ume Aoki) ships them. Kyouko is more realistic, and complements Sayaka's idealism perfectly.
Age: She seems to be 14 years old, but she could be estimated to be between 13 and 14, so it's questionable. 15 also could be considered, but 14 seems to be the confirmed age.
