こんいちはみんなさん！少し日本語分かりますけど、まだじょうずじゃありません。昔、昔、アニメのために日本語を勉強しました。今、日本語のためにアニメを見ます。ドラマも好きです。英語のアニメは大変だめですよ！日本語のアニメだけお願いします！：）
However, I am not too much of a snob to use english! I am hoping to get to the 1,000 kanji mark sometime in the near future and start reading Manga in the original... in the mean time I am still working on catching up on old shows and keeping up with the new seasons. I love me some samurai/historical animes, as well as shows based on Yokai and classical Japanese monsters. I guess you could say I'm a special kind of nerd.

Yeah, kanji looks especially intimidating to learn, but it's all possible. I probably would have a harder time writing it than reading it.

I'm also trying to learn to read Japanese. I've started buying a lot of original Japanese manga (a lot cheaper than the translated stuff here...) so I hope to be able to read them soon. Unfortunately I'm in the habit of taking my time with these things...
