Hola!

My name is Warren and I love anime! Or as they called it in yon olde'n days "Japanimation."

I have been watching anime as long as I can remember - I loved anime before it was cool to love Anime.  My first memories of "Japanimation" are episodes of Speed Racer and (I think)Star Blazers (AKA: Space Battleship Yamato.)  However I didn't really start watching Anime until I viewed two Christian themed anime series The Flying House and Superbook.  After seeing those two shows, I started looking for more anime on TV.  At the time, in the early 80s, that was not an easy task.  It didn't help I lived in a relatively small city and moved quite a bit.  However I did find quite a bit of anime on the air during that decade: Voltron, G-Force (aka Gatchaman), Robotech, The Mysterious Cities of Gold and anything else I could find on TV.

In the 90s, anime really started to take root in the USA.  Though I didn't hear much about new anime during my high school years, that changed when I started college. With access to the internet, I started to hear about other anime series and movies coming out of Japan.  As soon as I could I watched both Akira and Appleseed.  Towards the mid 90s I started to see more anime on TV, such as Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, which I watched as often as I could.  I also was able to grab a VHS copy of Street Fighter II: The movie, complete with Chun Li in her whitey tighties. Towards the end of the decade I started watching the anime TV shows that started to populate the airwaves in the USA.

The 2000s up to present day have presented a whole slew of anime. It is hard to keep track of what I have seen and haven't seen. However I will try my best to catalog my experiences of the last 35 years on this site.

Who knows? Maybe I'll be able to write an epic anime series someday...
