I'm a 20-year-old guy from Europe and I enjoy watching anime, movies and playing video games. English is not my native language, so please excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes in my reviews, blogs, etc.

When it comes to my anime history, I consider my first one to be Devil May Cry: The Animated Series.  I'm a huge fan of a PlayStation 2 title called Devil May Cry 3 and, at the time, was anticipating for Devil May Cry 4 to be released, so my friend and I ended up watching it. Even though I had seen various anime (such as Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc.)  in my childhood prior to that, they are not added to my Watched  list and I’m reluctant to call them “the first” anime I’ve seen due to the fact that at the time I was not aware of the concept of “anime” and referred to them as “cartoons” instead. I consider the DMC animated series to be a reference point in my life when it comes to me and my attitude towards anime, thus only anime watched after DMC is added in my Watched list.

From age 10 to 13 I didn't watch any anime or cartoons at all due to my belief that sort of media is childish and it would be juvenile for a person of my age to watch them. Devil May Cry changed this opinion and opened a never seen world before me called "anime".  The story telling, animation and violence both surprised and impressed me, so I decided to check out more of it. My second anime was Elfen Lied and after that came Death Note. Though Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is what initially peaked me interest, it’s both Elfen Lied and Death Note that completely sold me on the concept and both still are two of my favourite anime.

I dislike overrated and unnecessarily prolonged (milked) anime. Though surely, I might pick an anime to watch based on its popularity, I won't jump on the bandwagon and say that it's good just because everyone else seems to do so. I form my own opinions and I base my judgments on my own experience. I don’t expect people to necessarily agree with me, but I expect others to respect my opinions as I try to respect theirs.

Star rating represents my enjoyment of anime and not necessarily my "objective" opinion of it. So just because I’ve rated something 5 out of 5 stars doesn’t mean I think it’s perfect - it means I highly enjoyed it and would watch again. In my anime reviews, I try to give more „objective” ratings and always back them up with solid arguments. That being said, all reviews still are opinions and all opinions are subjective.

Feel free to ask me anything =)

I know lol, i usually label incest or yaoi or shoujo-ai as "wont watch" (no offense to anyone, just my own views you know).

You can't think of ideas, you must let the ideas come to you. Give it some time and the ideas will form by themselves. All you need is inspiration, and no, inspiration doesn't come from long walks in the forest or beach, just do whatever you enjoy doing and it will come. Now enough with the poetic speech, what do you actually have in mind?

I myself am planning to write another blog, but i just need to form some of the raw thoughts floating around in my brain into words i can type.

Haha no that was a mistake. I wanted to label it as "won't watch" but accidently clicked "want to watch". Just so many words with a "w" that i get confused

So i ended up giving 2.5 stars to Amagami SS. The first two, and last two arcs were great and the ending was a nice shocker so yeah, i added a 0.5 for that.

It tied up pretty well in the end so i still have mixed feelings about it, all i can say with certainty is that i really really enjoyed it. My ratings are based on quality, not enjoyment, otherwise i would have gave it a 3.5 or more :P Yeah im weird like that

Yeah i am currently watching it.I kind of like it but it is getting really repetitive. The first two arcs were good and i enjoyed them to an extent, but others after that are pretty much repeats of the first two with different girls. I still have like another two arcs i believe, to go through.

Secondly i really didn't like the reasoning behind the guy protagonist's excuse to "close up his heart." The guy got stood up once, so he turned emo...

Other than that, i really enjoy the embarrassing situations they make the characters go through. Makes me feel all giggdy (for lack of a better term haha) inside. I'll stick with it till the end, but will probably also give it a 2/5 stars like you

What did you think about it?
