I'm a 20-year-old guy from Europe and I enjoy watching anime, movies and playing video games. English is not my native language, so please excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes in my reviews, blogs, etc.

When it comes to my anime history, I consider my first one to be Devil May Cry: The Animated Series.  I'm a huge fan of a PlayStation 2 title called Devil May Cry 3 and, at the time, was anticipating for Devil May Cry 4 to be released, so my friend and I ended up watching it. Even though I had seen various anime (such as Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc.)  in my childhood prior to that, they are not added to my Watched  list and I’m reluctant to call them “the first” anime I’ve seen due to the fact that at the time I was not aware of the concept of “anime” and referred to them as “cartoons” instead. I consider the DMC animated series to be a reference point in my life when it comes to me and my attitude towards anime, thus only anime watched after DMC is added in my Watched list.

From age 10 to 13 I didn't watch any anime or cartoons at all due to my belief that sort of media is childish and it would be juvenile for a person of my age to watch them. Devil May Cry changed this opinion and opened a never seen world before me called "anime".  The story telling, animation and violence both surprised and impressed me, so I decided to check out more of it. My second anime was Elfen Lied and after that came Death Note. Though Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is what initially peaked me interest, it’s both Elfen Lied and Death Note that completely sold me on the concept and both still are two of my favourite anime.

I dislike overrated and unnecessarily prolonged (milked) anime. Though surely, I might pick an anime to watch based on its popularity, I won't jump on the bandwagon and say that it's good just because everyone else seems to do so. I form my own opinions and I base my judgments on my own experience. I don’t expect people to necessarily agree with me, but I expect others to respect my opinions as I try to respect theirs.

Star rating represents my enjoyment of anime and not necessarily my "objective" opinion of it. So just because I’ve rated something 5 out of 5 stars doesn’t mean I think it’s perfect - it means I highly enjoyed it and would watch again. In my anime reviews, I try to give more „objective” ratings and always back them up with solid arguments. That being said, all reviews still are opinions and all opinions are subjective.

Feel free to ask me anything =)

I swear i know, there should be an edit button.

I just started Love Hina on a whim, i was bored so i clicked it while scrolling down the lsit of animes on justdubs (if you know that website). I watched the first episode and well, i don't know if i will be able to sit through all of it. It is way too generic and cliche, plus it has chibi and i HATE chibiness.

I might just suck it up and go through it all, but it is almost exam time here so it might take me a while. I also have like 6 other aniems i am watching at the same time.Buyt sure, ill give you my opinion on Love Hina as soon as i am done with it.

Haha stalk the friend feed, lol i do that too sometimes. I'd rather stalk their profile and blogs and reviews but feed is good too. Lets me see when a person i know is watching something...qeustionable :D

I have a favour to ask of you. If you notice on my profile, i have RandomRedneck having a war with me on whether the anime "Blood C" is any good at all. If you have the time, could you go check it out and tell me what you think? Damn this post was long :P

Well, it's based off of a video game (I think) and there isn't very much story/plot involved but the fighting is decent. If you want to watch an anime for the fighting then I'd say it's watchable. Also two of the characters are exactly like Might Guy and Rock Lee from Naruto so it's absolutely hilarious to see the two interact.

Yeah idk. To each his own I guess right lol. I originally heard of Kanon when someone on your visiters profile asked about the gal in your sig. Then I looked it up on ANN and thought the story seemed interesting. After that I went to Anime-planet and noticed it was in the top #150.

Funny, quite a few people seem to have liked it and it's ranked in the top 150 on this site....I guess we shall see. I'll either start watching Heaven's Lost Property or Kanon (2006) next :P

Then i bet you haven't seen Koi Kaze, i stumbled upon it. Good romance...but it was between sister-brother and to top it all off, the guy was like 15 years older than the girl (and the girl was in highschool...) Ugh it drives me insane.

Well many cultures and countries don't consider between cousins incest.I understand their logic a bit so i don't get as much freaked out by it. Even so i hope to keep all my animes completely free from such things. As for Shounen-ai and Shoujo-ai, there are people who are interested in such things, but personally i love women way too much to understand the logic behind "-ai" genres haha
