I'm a 20-year-old guy from Europe and I enjoy watching anime, movies and playing video games. English is not my native language, so please excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes in my reviews, blogs, etc.

When it comes to my anime history, I consider my first one to be Devil May Cry: The Animated Series.  I'm a huge fan of a PlayStation 2 title called Devil May Cry 3 and, at the time, was anticipating for Devil May Cry 4 to be released, so my friend and I ended up watching it. Even though I had seen various anime (such as Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc.)  in my childhood prior to that, they are not added to my Watched  list and I’m reluctant to call them “the first” anime I’ve seen due to the fact that at the time I was not aware of the concept of “anime” and referred to them as “cartoons” instead. I consider the DMC animated series to be a reference point in my life when it comes to me and my attitude towards anime, thus only anime watched after DMC is added in my Watched list.

From age 10 to 13 I didn't watch any anime or cartoons at all due to my belief that sort of media is childish and it would be juvenile for a person of my age to watch them. Devil May Cry changed this opinion and opened a never seen world before me called "anime".  The story telling, animation and violence both surprised and impressed me, so I decided to check out more of it. My second anime was Elfen Lied and after that came Death Note. Though Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is what initially peaked me interest, it’s both Elfen Lied and Death Note that completely sold me on the concept and both still are two of my favourite anime.

I dislike overrated and unnecessarily prolonged (milked) anime. Though surely, I might pick an anime to watch based on its popularity, I won't jump on the bandwagon and say that it's good just because everyone else seems to do so. I form my own opinions and I base my judgments on my own experience. I don’t expect people to necessarily agree with me, but I expect others to respect my opinions as I try to respect theirs.

Star rating represents my enjoyment of anime and not necessarily my "objective" opinion of it. So just because I’ve rated something 5 out of 5 stars doesn’t mean I think it’s perfect - it means I highly enjoyed it and would watch again. In my anime reviews, I try to give more „objective” ratings and always back them up with solid arguments. That being said, all reviews still are opinions and all opinions are subjective.

Feel free to ask me anything =)

Believe it or not, there is an underlying reason to the lesbian theme (I don't remember if it's explained in later episodes, or in Fur de Liebe aka eps 13 and 14). As for others, I think they just enjoy messing with Natsuru. If you do end up liking the whole anime, you should check out another one done by the same people called Maburaho

If it was just about girls, it would be a pretty stupid anime, and I don't really see it being one girls would find that entertaining, but from a guy's perspective, it's really hilarious to see a guy put in all those situations and thinking how we would react.

Im doing fairly well, how about you? A few school problems (well annoyances really) but other than that i have a load of games to play, a load more to torren...i mean "buy" and 100+ anime series to watch.

I loved Deadman Wonderland. Heard there will be a new season soon so putting my hopes on that. Mirai Nikki is pretty awesome too and yeah it does have the same feel as Deadman Wonderland.

Haha im all out of ideas for blogs. Im currently racking my brain for some juicy topic but i keep going back to obvious ones which i have already indirectly covered (e.g. anime cliches). I myself have been having this itch to write something new so it shouldn't be too long know i hope. Anyways how is everything with you? You stopped with the AMV of the week blogs? I did enjoy those and found some good AMVs as a result. There are just so many to cover...

What do you think of Kampfer? The first time I saw it, I thought it was the funniest anime I had ever seen.
