I'm a 20-year-old guy from Europe and I enjoy watching anime, movies and playing video games. English is not my native language, so please excuse any grammar or spelling mistakes in my reviews, blogs, etc.

When it comes to my anime history, I consider my first one to be Devil May Cry: The Animated Series.  I'm a huge fan of a PlayStation 2 title called Devil May Cry 3 and, at the time, was anticipating for Devil May Cry 4 to be released, so my friend and I ended up watching it. Even though I had seen various anime (such as Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh etc.)  in my childhood prior to that, they are not added to my Watched  list and I’m reluctant to call them “the first” anime I’ve seen due to the fact that at the time I was not aware of the concept of “anime” and referred to them as “cartoons” instead. I consider the DMC animated series to be a reference point in my life when it comes to me and my attitude towards anime, thus only anime watched after DMC is added in my Watched list.

From age 10 to 13 I didn't watch any anime or cartoons at all due to my belief that sort of media is childish and it would be juvenile for a person of my age to watch them. Devil May Cry changed this opinion and opened a never seen world before me called "anime".  The story telling, animation and violence both surprised and impressed me, so I decided to check out more of it. My second anime was Elfen Lied and after that came Death Note. Though Devil May Cry: The Animated Series is what initially peaked me interest, it’s both Elfen Lied and Death Note that completely sold me on the concept and both still are two of my favourite anime.

I dislike overrated and unnecessarily prolonged (milked) anime. Though surely, I might pick an anime to watch based on its popularity, I won't jump on the bandwagon and say that it's good just because everyone else seems to do so. I form my own opinions and I base my judgments on my own experience. I don’t expect people to necessarily agree with me, but I expect others to respect my opinions as I try to respect theirs.

Star rating represents my enjoyment of anime and not necessarily my "objective" opinion of it. So just because I’ve rated something 5 out of 5 stars doesn’t mean I think it’s perfect - it means I highly enjoyed it and would watch again. In my anime reviews, I try to give more „objective” ratings and always back them up with solid arguments. That being said, all reviews still are opinions and all opinions are subjective.

Feel free to ask me anything =)

Hell, if you let something as meager as an accent hold you back then you will never get anywhere. I say go for it. Who knows, it might turn out to be well liked. I would sure watch it. Actually i was thinking of doing the same myself but i wanted to be different than all the other anime video reviewers out there. Something more creative than just talking for 10 minutes

Yeah I have also been gaming quite a lot these days and honestly, the gaming industry could use a good thrashing right about now. With B-class stories, little or no character development, focus on selling to kids with their father's credit cards, and generally being boring, the gaming industry needs some critics to bash some sense into it.

Sorry for the late reply. Happy Belated New Year to you too man! Yeah i decided to try my luck in the mange department so made a review for one of the few mangas i have read. I am currently looking at my options for writing another blog or review but alas i have yet to come across a good idea or an anime that doesn't have the crap reviewed out of it already on this site. I did stumble across some good animes in the past few weeks. Here are a few of them: Sword Art Online, Btooom!, Pumpkin Scissors, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, Magi. The last two are still ongoing but they are turning out to be quite fun. How about you? Watched anything good lately?

Of course, how could we possibly forget the guy who has 147 PAGES of blogs up. I would say its fair to blame him partly at least for the removal of the blog system. I guess i will be backing up all my blogs and posting them on other sites if blogs go down. Im still hoping sothis and the others will figure out a better solution.

At least we still have user reviews right? If those too are put down because of those one liner reviews then i might even switch to a different site

This is a sad day indeed...I will try to help solve this mess on the forums but it will be hard, very hard. It all depends on the lords of anime-planet now to see what is the best course of action. I don't want to lose other functionalities of this website only to keep the blogs working (sothis does mention that they are expensive to maintain and a hassle with all the spam bots) but blogs can be an asset if used in a proper manner. We just need to be more strict on which blogs are showcased.
