I have just finished watching Murder Spec. Pt 2. It was a great finish to the seven part series. The ending really did justice to the series. It was one of the most heart-wrenching pieces I have seen in a long time. I haven't been so emotionally involved since I saw the my favority movie "Nobody Knows" (not anime).
Kara no Kyoukai is one of those anime gemes you have to watch from start to finish to get the full effect. The high contrast created from the dark city environments is fantastic. The smooth orchestral music by one of my favorite anime composers, Yuki Kajiura, creates a melancholy aura in your mind. Although, I didn't understand all of the story line mechanics, the show definitely conveys the character's emotions. The fight scenes are move at split second speeds. Also throughout the series, the director added what seems to be mundane encounters between Shiki and Kokuto, but these segments are there to provide character development. Keep in mind, this series is not for kids. There are many mature elements and there a ton of blood. Leave a comment if you liked or disliked the series.
