about me

I am cphoenix. Thanks for taking your time to view my profile. :)

I've been watching anime since I was a kid as have most people, just the mainstream ones like Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Beyblade and many others... However it wasn't until around 2009 that I started watching anime in whole series.

My sister introduced me to Skip Beat! and Ouran High School Host Club although she never really showed me the ending of Ouran so being the curious person I am I decided to watch the rest and I was somewhat hooked and then after searching up "Haruhi" in google I came across The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya which is when I reached the point of no return.

From then I watched more and more until finally I decided to add all the anime on to a list which I still add on to every now and then.

Not many people tend to read manga, I've been to many profiles but I rarely see anyone who reads manga, just anime which is a shame. I really used to dislike reading and in year 7 my only friend was a book lover and me being me I just followed her into the library where we would just read which is when I started reading manga (my first manga was actually fruits basket) and then I wanted to watch the anime which is sort of how my love for anime kinda began as well as the reason mentioned above.

BTW, I would just like to say when it comes to anime I love action and violence but when it comes to manga, I tend to read shoujo... Mainly because Shoujo is a bit more boring to watch but exciting to read and action/violence is more entertaining to watch than to read... I don't know, I guess it's just a personal opinion.

Mirai Nikki

Uryuu Minene

Fruits Basket

Kyo Sohma

The survival game genre is my favourite though my favourite anime are nothing of the sort also anything that can make me cry... (Anything by Key/Jun Maeda, which is most likely the romance/drama genre... Clannad, Angel Beats!, Little Busters!)

I didn't like the harem genre, you know, girls fawning over the main character who isn't really anything special but in Key anime it isn't hardcore. However I have to say that I prefer harem over reverse harem. I don't know why but I just can't stand reverse harems, I do not know why. Unless of course it is subtle like in Ouran High School Host Club. but the thing I love about Key's harems is that it is really subtle unlike most harems where all the girls try to impress the guy by making chocolates or being nice... ugh makes me shiver just thinking about it, I mean why do they have to make pretty much all the girls so desperate... which is why I like Key harems because as I said at the start they don't do that.

Key Anime!! (Kanon not as much)

I normally like the survival game genre such as Mirai Nikki, Btooom!, Deadman Wonderland and Sci-Fi, as in time travel not aliens such as Steins;Gate and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Movie) although most anime movies tend to be slow-paced which kinda annoys me. If I had to say what my favourite anime is I would say Angel Beats! followed by Clannad and Little Busters! which is also by the same authour.

Sakurasou na Pet no Kanojo

Elfen Lied (I can't wait for Gokukoku no Bryndilr)

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Spice and Wolf

The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

Yeah I saw your comment about school days and thats fine I completely understand were your coming from on that.

As for the new season of Anime I don't really keep up with it I really just watch as I go along. I watch what I feel like when I feel like it. Sometimes that includes the new Anime as well. The only limit I put on myself is that I try not to start an Anime series that hasn't been completed yet. I can't stand watching so many episodes only for something dramatic to happen in the last episode and suddenly I can't watch the next episode cus now I have to wait. I've already gone through that phase when Highschool of the Dead came out and as well as recently Attack on Titan. Thats just me though.

Yes sadly or not there are other things besides Anime that do make our priority list. Thats just the ways things are.

I haven't read Bleach for a a couple of months but the current arc isn't that great. Characters dying everywhere and some of the plot seems forced or doesn't make any sense.

And yeah, just Clannad took me 2-3 weeks but I think it was worth the time since there is a lot more stories and all of them are great.

I saw you comment on Sothis page about the ratings and wanted to talk to you about it :) Maybe I can help explain why the rating system is like this.First off, Gintama is higher on the list than Death Note because the average rating is higher. Although you seem to think DN it's the best anime in exsistance, TONS of people don't agree (for example, I personnally thought it was barely watchable after the big death), and give it a low rating, which is why it's not at the top ;) Meanwhile, almost every person who has seen the Gintama movie gave it a 5-star rating.Secondly, the number of people watching it does not have anything to do with how good the anime actually is. For example, Pokemon has over 32 thousand people who have watched it (while popular with children, it's an overly repetative show where nothing actually happens) while http://www.anime-planet.com/anime/la-maison-en-petits-cubes only has 2 thousand views, but it's an oscar-winning film.  (Naruto is also a ggod example of a show with high views, but a large number of people don't like it)But, if you'd prefer, you can always search by the highest watched shows. http://www.anime-planet.com/anime/browse/status/watched

Bleach should have ended when Ichigo lost his powers......

I started reading visuals novels a few years ago (Clannad was the first one) and it isn't that difficult to find fan-translations, the difficult part is to get your hands on the game if you just download it it's easier than buying it (The Key VNs are the only ones I actually own).
