That must be seriously frustrating, especially for your most beloved manga. I've had similar experiences where I didn't like how the climax or ending was adapted, but not with a franchise I had been watching for years - what you're feeling is incomparable to my experiences and I cannot even imagine your feelings. =/ You also reminded me I need to have another look over my favorite anime custom list because it's outdated...except for the first three because I intend for them to be pretty permanent (Eureka Seven, Clannad, Hayate no Gotoku). But kind of off topic yet not really: If the anime is indeed at the climax, does the Naruto manga have a scheduled timeframe to end? How much further is the manga in comparison?
I'm thinking after One Piece I'll either resume Fairy Tail, or start Hunter X Hunter or Toriko. Maybe Magi. Or Rurouni Kenshin or Digimon season 6. Rewatching Hayate no Gotoku or Digimon season 2/4 is possible as well. Too many options.
Hey! Don't stalk my stalled and dropped lists! xD But yeah, a lot of my dropped or stalled are anime that used to air on TV and I can't really be bothered to watch now/don't have much motivation to. If you notice any especially great dropped anime you thought I missed out on, feel free to bring them to my attention.
One Piece has some oddly placed fillers too. For instance, during the climax of a big arc where all of the characters are fighting their own enemy, a random filler episode will air somewhere. I believe this is the first time I've seen random filler episodes, not arcs, placed like this, because I'm used to filler arcs lasting more than a few episodes and following before the next plot arc. Shippuden has been geting on my nerves as well because of the long "filler" arcs in between these major showdowns, which is loads worse than One Piece with its occassional fillers. Animation is something I don't particularly pay close attention to and haven't noticed any changes. But even though you are starting to hate the anime, at least you got the manga to keep you satisified, until it ends.
Yeah, Fairy Tail I stopped watching because I think I was finished with my summer classes and had a couple months off. I remember wanting to resume during my fall classes, but I forgot what was happening and then you started talking to me about Shippuden, maybe.
Dreadful how? You mean all of the fillers? One Piece I picked back up this spring because I needed another long anime to help me "study" for my college exams (I'll spend entire days just watching a single anime and study in between episodes when it's necessary). I did this with Fairy Tail, Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, and now One Piece. Luckily One Piece has been interesting enough to keep my interest, but if I had to rank it by overall enjoyment, it would be below the others I listed.
The entire episode? I'll believe it when I see it...which may or may not be a while because I'm really into One Piece right now. Suuuuuuper behind however.
Huzzah...! Wait...by "back," you mean at the end of the episode and so I actually got another week to wait, don't you? >_<
