I am a person. I am very much a person.

I'm relatively new to this stuff, but I'm coming along well. I'm somewhat unusual in that I haven't watched some of the necessarily more main-stream animes like One Piece(I think; I don't actually know enough about which is which to rate what is the most popular, so I shouldn't even say that).

When it comes to anime, I usually just bumble around, stumbling across new ones. My general philosophy is "If it is rated 3.5 or higher, I'll consider. If it is 4 or higher, I'll most likely add it to my Want to Watch list". I look for unique ones, or ones that fit my tastes. I'm not a fan of ecchi, but if the story is good, and I like everything else about it, I'll ignore the ecchi part.

I tend to take great interest in the characters of an anime. They tend to be as important to me as the plot itself. I like character-driven plots, and if I get attached to a character, there's a good chance I will be hooked. That's probably one of the big reasons I like Touhou (I don't even play the games). It has lots of unique characters.

I'll admit, that when I watch TV, I can stomach literally anything that is on. I will usually turn it to something I like, but if someone else is watching, I'll probably let it be. My incredible ability to watch almost anything means it is unlikely I will rate something low or have many negative comments... but I don't really get into the story unless it is at least somewhat good.

Due in part to the previous statement, I'm not very good at giving ratings. I either like it, or I don't. I could give a detailed description, but it would be easier to just say; Even though quality level can take many different forms, I usually think in terms of black and white, and am aware of this, so I prefer to not bother reviewing or rating.

I like manga because it usually has more content than the animes that stem from it, but the only one I am actively reading is Mahou Sensei Negima (The anime for that sucked.)

I should also add that I try to watch just one anime at a time. Even great animes can be completely abandonded if I forget to watch it for a day, so I try to keep my focus on one until it is done.

Hello!  sothis is redesigning the anime-planet site, and plans to roll out an awesome new site design in July, we believe. The blog feature is not part of the new design, and it is going away.  More information about this here:  Announcement: the blog feature is being deprecated topic link.  (Be sure to check out the new site design when it goes live!)

The blog pages are going away, and will be gone when the site redesign goes live. Your blog here will be removed from the site.

So, if want to keep the information posted in your blog, you will need to copy this information someplace else on the site. If you have any questions how or where to do this, please feel free to get back to me, and I will try to assist.

(For instance, your blogs posting your thoughts and commentary on anime you watched can be moved to the anime's Discussion topic in the site’s Forum or to a Review of the anime on the title’s Main Details page.)

Hmmm .... About so many anime watched - if I have a lot of free time, why not? 7-8 years ago I was spending my free time at home on books, 3-4 years ago - on computer games. Now - at anime. After all,it's interesting. Maybe later it will be anything else instead of anime.

P.S. Good anime list. Especially "Clannad" and "Bakemonogatari".

The rank is based on the 5 star rating haha. Basically it's almost the exact same thing, but a bit more accurate.

My philosophy;

Rank 1-250 = Really good, must watch at all costs if the genre interests me.

251-999 = Will highly consider if genre interests me.

1000-1999 = If genre interests me, mid priority.

2000+ = If genre interests me, low priority.

Most animes are ranked about 2.8-3.2, so be careful with picking anime based on that.

Hmm.. Will agree for the most part, but I never knew I loved ecchi until I watched puni puni poemi and kiss x sis. Problem is, never get the opportunity to watch it because of other people in my house.
