Doki Doki Summer Beach

Just a typical perverted beach story about a dorky boy and a cute girl. It felt like it should have been longer than 8 pages, but at least it was in colour!

Kon no Ki Konoha

on May 6, 2014

This one shot is pretty average but it'll leave you feeling happy even though it is kinda sad. A blue tree is an interesting thing especially to a young girl and especially if that tree has a cute boy spirit living in it. I really wish this one shot was done in colour honestly because I think it would have done the blue tree justice. But instead we have to use our imagination which just doesn't work as well as seeing it honestly. Love is like the seasons, it comes and goes. But if you are lucky you'll be able to spend many seasons together with the one you love. Before they are gone.

God's in His Heaven

on May 4, 2014

For such a short manga I expected it to actually go somewhere. Instead all you get it 2 sisters who visit their uncle in the hospital who has the same issue that their father died of. If one gets anything from this is will be on the last page when some questions about God are brought up by the little sister. Makes me thankful that I do not have to answer any childrens deep thoughts about such things!

Distance Between You and Me

on May 3, 2014

Generally one doesn't expect much from a short 8 page manga but one does deserve to get at least a little interested. Sadly there was nothing of interest here but the same old typical unrequited love between a girl and her guy friend. If it went on it probably would have turned into her eventually confessing her love to him and they would have ended up together. Thankfully we never got that far and we just see her pretending to be happy for him as he wanders off to go on a date with his girlfriend... bleh...

After the Child Sleeps

on May 2, 2014

It is pretty rare that a BL manga isn't all about 2 dudes shoving their tongues down each others throats and thrusting heavily into each other. But I suppose we have a young girl to thank for that because as the title suggests, it must come after the little one is not awake. There is one scene where the 2 men after trading their stories come to heavily make out but that is it. This manga is more about learning about 2 men and their backstories and how they came to be together in the end. Divorce is an interesting thing in this short manga and brings a good question into play. Should 2 people stay together... See full review

Cat Funeral

on May 1, 2014

I really enjoy manga that are full on colour. I found the death/life theme of this particular manga quite interesting to be honest. It really made me think about what brings people together, tears them appart, and brings them back together again. (Thanks cats!) I honestly wasn't expecting a relationship manga when I started reading this title but how it turned out in the end was quite nice and makes the reader really reflect upon life. Not the greatest story ever written but it had some nice moments. Ohhh those little cat companions of ours~

Yamamoto Mimikaki-Ten

on Nov 28, 2010

This one shot was sent to me by my dear friend NimirRa on a day when I really REALLY needed some cheering up. When I clicked on the link I saw the english title Yamamoto Ear Cleaning Shop. Right away I knew I was going to fall in love with this delightful short. Ear cleaning is a very important thing to me that I take quite seriously at times. Sometimes I wish that I could look at it through a microscope just cause. So when I saw that someone took the time to draw out a one shot about this very subject it was like I did it myself. I personally don't... See full review

Children Can't Choose Their Parents

on Nov 28, 2010

Children Can't Choose Their Parents is a wonderful story about forbidden love. How it effects those who are in love and those that are around the strange couple in love. All I can say is you will either be laughing, crying, or disgusted. The surprise ending will keep you on your toes and probably make you ponder a lot of things.

White Clouds

on Nov 28, 2010

It's short, sweet, and straight to the point. It will tug at your heart strings if you have ever owned an animal and considered it more than just a pet and an actual part of the family. The other great thing is that we get to see how much a pet feels about us even when we are old and wrinkly. It may make you cry. I know I almost did.

Confidential Confessions

on Nov 21, 2009

I simply loved this manga. so much i actually own it for my collection. this manga takes a look at real life situations and explores people's thoughts and feelings while going through tough times. Bulling, suicide, to rape there are no boundries that this manga will concider off limits.read at your own risk as the stories aren't for the weak of heart and might make people cry.

99% Love

on Nov 20, 2009

This is definitely one of those barfy shoujo manga that I dislike.... with stuff like half year anniversaries and the OMG we haven't kisses yet crap. she gets all sad and moopy because he wants to do his dancing thing instead of spend time with her on that "half year" day. such crap! >:(the ending kinda blows too. it was WAY predictable but yeah. i guess some people out there will like this for it's art because the interesting plot sure wasn't there. but then again the age target is probably 12-15 year old girls who i guess these days think that way :|

7 Nenme no Dou Kyonin

on Nov 20, 2009

Blossoming boy love. separated for years and back together once more under one roof just waiting for the romance to begin. like your typical shounen-ai is has a few lovely naked "opps" moments that eventually lead to something more that all shounen-ai fans want to see. It's very cute with agnsty males that think about the "he likes me he likes me not" type of stuff but it's still highly entertaining to read and see what happens at the end. Even adds in a cute brother complex that is sure to make shounen-ai fans drool at that thought.

Kimi ga Waratta

generally i'm not a fan of the knocked into unconsciousness and dreaming type of story but this one was averagely done on the good side. nothing special nothing great. just worth my time it took in reading.the art could have been better imo. that would have made this more enjoyable. it always felt like i was reading a bad sailor moon sketch. while i love sailor moons anime i was never able to read the manga as they looked ugly to me. maybe it's just because christmas romance stories are a good soggy way to get me to show a heart. :P shoujo fans will eat this story up for dinner.

For being a shoujo romance this one caught me. i guess it was because the male wasn't a total pussy about chasing the chick he loves. so give me good characters and i'll be happy shoujo or not. It's a cute romance romp and has some pretty cute scenes. Also it has a fablious twist at the end that is sure to please lots of people. i know i was excited by the end.check it out if you want something nice and quick and will leave a smile on your face.

Battle Angel Alita

on Nov 7, 2009

It's been a while since I've read it as it was my second manga ever read which has been almost 10 years ago or something like that. But what I remember is fantastic characters and their development.Alita herself is my favourite character. Her pure strength and will power that keeps her going to find herself and help others around her is just amazing. Her journey is a interesting one in a cyber punk world with people fighting for survival. The way this manga is drawn it's totally breathtaking. I wish I could draw like that haha. I can't only drool over my thoughts of it in colour. This manga has a movie... See full review

This is a hilarious cute story of revenge. Oddly enough it has a Kill Bill feel to it so if you liked that movie a lot you'll enjoy this read. It has the typical Japanese weirdness to it that definitally adds to the story with some romance thrown in there. Short and sweet you'll be page turning so fast to see what happens!
