What can I really say? I am addicted to Anime and Manga. Over the last few years I have watched over 350 different series and movies.  Even though Korean Drama is my current obession, I am also into lots of other stuff. A little bit about me...

I am 35, married and a girl. I will be teaching 6/7th grade Language Arts/Reading in a small town for the 2014-2015 school year.  I am married to my best friend/biggest fan/maid, and we have two pets a border collie blend and a Pixie Bob blend cat. We currently do not have any children, but are in the process of adopting a 12 year old blonde haired girl that looks like Rin from Usagi Drop. Which has really been a big change to our pretty average lives, but so very enjoyable.

Anime I like

I have had to take a break from anime watching due to my lack of free time. I have recently watched a few new animes, but when I do get a down day it is to watch something that I really enjoyed in the past. I love a good shoujo anime with a tsundere character who is kinda rough around the edges. I also love adventure stories like Inuyasha, Bebop , and FMA:Brotherhood. I will on occassion watch a good historical drama with lots of action. I will not watch Magic Girl, Sports Anime, or Mecha. I also do not watch the ones with creepy kids who look kind but do horrible things like murder people. (UGHhhh)

Manga

I am a huge manga fan. I have read about 300 different titles in the last 14 months. I follow about 80 different ongoing series and tend read mostly Japanese and Korean titles.

Now for some Q and A!

What are you currently reading?

I am currently following close 80 series. Some of my favorites are Skip Beat, Black Bird, Love so Life, Horimya, Dengeki Daisy, and Taiyou no Ie.

3. Do you have any non anime hobbies?

I love drawing, cooking, reading books, watching stuff on Netflix, chating online, painting, and shopping.

4. Are you planning to introduce the kid to anime/manga?

Yes. She has seen about 10 shows to date. She loves Vampire Knight, FMA:Brotherhood, and Inuyasha.

5. What is one manga or anime series you recommend?

I would recommend Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood for the anime. Both feature great stories and characters. Serious but funny.

Manga I am going to say Horimya. I love the characters in that story. They have a really great relationship and the story doesn't feel forced.

6. What is your favorite genre?

I love tsundere. I think it is because I can relate to those type of characters more easily than the sweet ones. I love the strong female character who is mouthy and not afraid to be herself. :) (This is how I see me)

Never seen, "Making Fiends", but I don't believe I ever said Clannad was the best series ever, it had many flaws too, (everything does). I said to me it was an amazing series overall, I found the comedy hilarious and the mellow/interesting developments amusing and the drama fulfilling. Drama for drama's sake? Well tbh isn't all drama for the sake of drama? Drama's purpose is suspence and or emotion I believe in terms of base principle. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Yes the drama got a lot more serious in the 2nd season, but if you look back to the first episode of the first series, it really does connect. The story is about how the main character came to love the town deeply and realized it through the loss of what was most precious to him in the same town he had hated so strongly and after coming to terms with that lesson, he is given another chance to truly cherish that which he holds dear. That is the central point of the story, not oh lets make this character die to make people sad and then bring the back to life again for ratings, I don't think thats what they did. Anyways that was just my interpretation.

Ah, a lot of crazy stuff going on in my life right now as Senior Year term 2 is coming to a close, the last grades that count towards applying to college. (yes they can drop people they accepted later on if their grades slump, but its a lot less pressure). Well I hope you share the love that is Higurashi with your students after you finish it (I kid, I kid.) >.> I know terrible pun. I think its hilarious how in some shounen series they have boys accidently kissing each other and now in Ouran they have two girls kissing each other by accident. That is too funny, too funny. The egotistical blonde prince still acts like a moron though, lol. (He's funny too).

The portion of the world that is messed up is relatively small, but it is rather the prospect that stuff can happen to anyone that makes things scary. The one's who are messed up are just messed up to some pretty high extremes. The world around one's self is pretty normal externally save a few mishaps and scenes, but people tend to hide their negative traits and feelings. I hope you do not consider me as a believer in cynicism, but rather one who is aware that there is some bad stuff out there and wants to do best to steer away from it, but also contemplate the ideas that go with it. By the way the first arc of Higurashi is just a nice little intro, there's some really great stuff coming :D . Also the characters act differently in each arc or world. but they are relatively the same persona they just take different extremes, tangents, decisions, etc. I am glad you have found it interesting enough to continue without flaming it or something. Hey now, you were going to rate Clannad 2.5 if it ended with the tragic ending? That's not right, that's not fair, you're saying that all the beautiful things that happened throughout the entire series meant nothing to you? The emotion behind the ending would mean nothing to you? Just because it ended sadly the series is considered 'bad'? I don't quite agree with that, I would have given Clannad 6 out 5 if they ended with the tragic ending. with the ending as it happened they got 5.9 out of 5 because the robot analogy was one of the most amazing subtly played revelations I have seen. I do not ask you to agree with me, but merely to consider my points. I will have some commentary for you about Ouran soon. Oh btw, have you figured it out yet? The little hint game? Here's another hint then: You might be surprised, or you may realize that it explains a lot. Alright I'll just tell you: "TEEHEE" (#1 on Youtube Reference) ((That wasn't it btw))

To be honest it is one of the only series that I have liked that much despite the art style lol, it would help you added what episode you're on when you tell me comments. I will watch a bit of Ouran a day along with my ongoings. My current favorite ongoing series is MM! IT IS TOO FUNNY FOR WORDS, I don't think you will like it though, it provides to a particular audience. It takes the extreme cliches of ecchi and puts them in a particle collider on max setting. Star Driver has some serious potential though if it changes pace soon if not then I'll be seriously dissapointed. Bakuman has been a really good series too, very unique I don't think I've really seen anything like it, may be others out there idk, its about some good heart and soul stuff between two guys who want to make a Manga that gets turned into an anime before their 18, nice fun innocent series. No, sorry to dissapoint you, no one kills each other... I know... I know... Maybe next time XD

Anything that I say that comes off as strange or teasing or offensive, my inner Troll is escaping, so don't take too much notice of it. ^^

Well the ecchi depends on audience, but I was referring to episode 12. I think thats enough reference there. Alright I'll watch Ouran. Also Higurashi is pretty crazy, but a lot of questions will get answered along the line of the series even if stuff is mysterious at first. All the stories do connect with each other as well. If you didn't look into Higurashi you will have a fun little surprise. Oh about my little hint, well if you look at the kind of series I've watched it should come to you after you think on it for a bit. It provides the key to an inconsistency. Ai Yori Aoshi was really good in some aspects, but I did feel the lack of conflict lol. Question: What was your reaction to the ending of School Days? I myself came to love the ending as it was really fitting ( a bit badass too, Fuck Yeah Kotonoha! Slice that Bitch!) Ahahahahah you rated it 2/5, Well the more people rate it bad the more I like it. Its anime that is actually realistic for once, our world is very, very fucked up and crazy shit like that happens all the time. I loved how they played the dark themes in the background while pretending to be innocent and slowly sliding into the chaos that is School Days. Such a great name too. For example if you pay attention to the movie Makoto and Kotonoha watch in episode 3 it is too funny how they directly relate to the characters in the movie that mirrors and foreshadows what is about to come. I didn't notice it first time either, but little things like that I find pretty interesting. I have rewatched the series with friends to enjoy their reaction to the ending, XD I know I am such a nice person, Right?

I just realized she has red hair XD. Anyways by hardcore... Google Higurashi. Done? Okay I think by now you will see that it is not ecchi. But I didn't mean purely violence, in fact that is more of a side matter. What I love about hardcore series is the psychological aspect. For example School Days has a hardcore psychological aspect, not big on violence lol. Yes I understand it tosses around some ecchi themes, but the true heart of the story is within the tension and emotion of the characters. It is about the transformation of a boy from a mellow and innocent individual to a more negative persona. I have a fun idea, since I have been unable to decide on a new series to watch, how about you recommend me a series to watch and you choose a series out of my Top Anime Custom List that you haven't seen, I am curious as to how you will find it as well as the need for myself to widen my own horizons too lol. Yes most people have seen a lot of different genres, but I don't think you have seen something quite like School Days or Higurashi. Note: If you google or search around about School Days, you are very likely to find spoilers as it is a short series with a big revelation. Higurashi on the other hand is so dense with chaos that its unlikely anything will be spoiled unless you straight out read summaries of it. Did you check out my site? Also the little series exchange I mentioned above was just an idea, obviously you don't have to go along with it, but it would be fun if you had some input on that, alright see ya.

Note: If you look closely at the series I have watched you will notice something about myself ^^ Mysterious.... :D ... Idk either...
