Warning: the author of this video barely passed his digital arts class and probably got sued too. I honestly swear that at times I doubt what is considered anime on this site. Manner movies, infomercials and musical PowerPoint presentations all seem to fall into the category nowadays. Supercell: Black Rock Shooter (S:BRS) is not an anime, it’s more of an art... Warning, commercials are now considered canonical anime. Once upon a time there was an outstanding visual novel Chaos;HEad. It was hastily adapted into an anime to cash on its success and it failed miserably, disappointing newcomers and fans alike. Then NitroPlus and 5pb released Steins;Gate, the sister series set in the same universe as Chaos;HEad. The visual novel got greenlit to be an anime as well, this time however the publisher learned from their past mistakes and adapted the anime properly. It became a huge hit universally loved and praised by everyone. The success had shown the corporate... See full review
Warning, this review is significantly longer than it should've been. I sometimes wonder about the submissions that Anime-Planet lists as anime titles. Houkago no Pleiades Movie (HnPM) can be vaguely listed as such, it's actually a manner movie. If you are like me and never heard of the term before, let's get educational for a moment: "A manner movie is a reminder video shown in theaters before the main movie starts, it is there to remind the audience to turn off their mobile phones, avoid talking, etc." -- AniDB So this obscure cinematographic piece is basically a 1:31 minute long infomercial... Warning, this review contains no major spoilers, but does contain a healthy amount of meat.
The sad loser student named Kio Kazaku is in quite the predicament, one day on his way to school he suddenly wound up on a mysterious island. There he found some sort of a vessel which happened to have a beautiful pair of boobs alien named Eris inside. “I’ll stay with you forever”, she said, and they both returned to live in his house in Toudou. How nice that this OVA brought me up to speed in the first 30 seconds of its runtime, while also showing clips of what I’m about to see in the... See full review
Warning, this review contains no major spoilers, but let's be honest here, this is a shounen anime. The main protagonist hits a few lows, powers up and saves the day. Then everyone goes picking flowers while holding hands and speaking about frienship and stuff. Not exactly rocket science here. THERE! I've just saved you 366 episodes of misery. Don't watch this anime!See full review

Warning, this review contains no major spoilers, but does explain the basic premise of the series. If you are yet to watch this anime, reading the review may affect your viewing experience. Usagi Drop (UD) is a story of Daikichi who becomes a guardian of Rin Kaga, a six-year old daughter of his grandfather and his housekeeper. The series follows their everyday lives with their own little quirks and merits. The plot of this series is not deeply though provoking, it deals with issues of parenthood (or guardianship in this case) such as dividing time for work and family, taking care of your sick child...
