Thanks for taking the time to respond to my review! I appreciate your feedback. Honestly, I was not aware of the death of the creator before the Anime was able to come to it's ending. This makes it make so much sense. You can feel it in the show when they get to the point where they completely lost the original flow and style and began to "wing" it.
I do understand how problematic the death must have been for everyone on staff but that still does not excuse poor workmanship. They took something they should have finished in tribute and turned it into (IMO) one of the worst anime endings I have ever seen.
Enlight of this new information, I still do not feel it warrants a change in my rating of this show. . . But I will put some sort of side note on my review since I know about the situation now (and was a bit harsh).
I really think they would have been better off stopping at the point when the the creator died and just left questions unanswered like they did in The 12 Kingdoms (personal favorite) which is another show I felt had a bad ending but an amazing story than finishing it so poorly.
This show to me is still the wax lips of my collection. I look at it and think of what it could have been with disappointment.
