According to a study done in 2013 based on findings from the American Center for Multicultural Studies (ACMS), they found, with 95.2% confidence interval, that viewers who favorably rated "K-On! Movie" had a demonstrably lower IQ than those that rated it negatively. In addition, they also found that a preference for the series as a whole (anime or movie) is strongly correlated with a lower sex-drive, obesity, and lethargy (the resisual sum of squares (RSS) was less than .25).
The paper can be read in its entirety here (although if you are not a member of the ACMS, it will not show up): https://www.acms.gov/research/doi/12xc324.pdf
