Your comments about Code Geass sum up how I feel about Hikaru no Go. Out of idle curiousity, did you watch this show before or after you became a serious fan? I know that part of the reason why HnG remains one of my favorite anime is that it converted me from being a mere fan into an otaku. I was wondering if Code Geass holds a special place in your heart for the same reason.
