Well i wouldn't say i agree completely...:P

I just liked the economics aspect of the anime. It related to me and my studies so it was a nice treat. A action scene with reference to economics...you know it isn't too far off the mark in the real world. Do you trade stocks? I do and believe me it feels like a complete battle. The amount of pain you feel when your stock drops is like the pain those characters in the anime felt when they lost a fight. It hurts, like a piece of your heart just died haha. Well probably not the dramatically for me since i don't have that much money but i've seen people lose thousands, and it really did cost the their future, just like in the anime. All the anime does is turn that whole process into a battle scene with mascots. That helps viewers visualize and attracts your average non-economics viewer.

The crude economics may be a cheap trick but hey, the whole anime was based off of it. Did you watch "Spice and Wolf" by any chance? If you haven't then i STRONGLY recommend it for you. That anime focuses on the business and trade aspect (during medieval times) and it is one of the best animes out there. Do give it a chance and tell me what you think.
