Oh wow, only need to finish three more anime series to get 400 watched. I think I will do a bit of a marathon tonight inbetween having to rearrange stuff in my apartment.
It's kind of weird that Aeon Flux isn't on here but then again they would have to add in all cartoons and that would be unwieldy. Although they have the piece from "Kill Bill" and that was an American movie...
I think I will try to finish up Iron Man in the next couple of days. It's actually better than I thought it would be. Which is a nice surprise. I will then get through Wolverine and follow with X-Men so that continuity will be there. It's hard when there are long breaks with short series.
I do watch movies and once in a while something from tv. Discovering a place where they list titles that are being removed from Netflix streaming is kind of cutting into my anime viewing. But I did get to see the movie "Cherry Blossoms" which was really good. I like it when I watch something that makes me think about it for days afterwards. In a good way.
I tried. I really did. But Supernatural as an anime, so not working.
I have never seen the series. I really hope it's better than the anime. I will say the animation is okay. It's the stories that lack originality and the main characters do things that if a human did they would be in a lot of pain. Also the ability to make things appear out of air like bags of rock salt is pretty amazing. Lack of air bags in the cars, well I tried to think of this maybe being set years ago but then Sam was using a notebook computer plus the cell phones makes this show suppose to be in more current times.
Not even Gackt doing a voice in this will save it for me.
Well that was uncomfortable. Just watched the first episode of Iron Man. It's okay, not any worse than a number of other recent anime. Will see how it goes.
However, the talk of using nuclear energy to give electricity to the people of Japan and more, is a little unconfortable considering everything that has and is going on there. I know Iron Man the anime pre-dates the disasters but it's not the best reminder...
I should come up with something to blog about. Just feels like I should have a subject instead of just thoughts or observations.
One observation, my list of watching has really gone down. I think in part that I fell behind so I'm working on watching series that have finished broadcasting. Less shows at one time but watching a lot more instead. Like six episodes tonight.
I find it helps keep my mind off of other things. Perhaps that is why I am watching so much these last couple of weeks.
All I can say is it's back and I am soooooo happy about that!
Totally loved the first episode. Fit right in with everything from the first season and more. Played on the viewer's anticipation as to how the characters might be after a long break. Just got better and better. The last bit with the Gorilla had me laughing out loud. Poor Shinpachi XD
