I'm a little tired of groups picking up a show no one else is subbing, doing a couple episodes and then dropping it even though there are only a few more episodes to do. Makes me not want to watch anything else they may sub.

Or newer groups who try to do every darn show that is out. Stop it! The really good groups don't do that. Most groups do not have enough people to handle that amount of work and it shows. A lot. The good groups would pick one or two shows and do them well. Because of that they developed a good reputaion and following.

Personally if I was a new or fairly new sub group I'd look for these recent shows that were dropped. I'd sit down and really work on doing a good job on them and release them. I know there are people out there waiting for them. Look at Hyouge Mono. Quirky but interesting show and people are hanging around waiting even though it is taking some time for each episode. However I don't know how to sub so I just muddle through trying to figure out what is going on with the Japanese dialog.

The two shows I wish someone would pick up are Showa Monogatori and Tetsuko no Tabi. Both are interesting decent shows yet I guess because there are no panty shots or mecha they got ignored. How sad.

Did I mention I love Mirai Nikki? The manga was addicting and it's so fun to watch an anime that I read the manga already. That's a first for me. But you would think it would make it boring. Not in the least! They are doing a really good job with it.

The other one that is growing on me is Guilty Crown. Fate/Zero is done really well too. Other than that, it's all okay. Hunter x Hunter remake is actually better than the first I think. Only because the animation is a bit better and there is less dragging out the stories. It makes the characters sharper and the whole thing more energetic. Working is a little better than the first season only because the characters are getting a little more warped plus a bit of sweetness to it.

You know that feeling when you start watching something and it rolls along and looks good and you start thinking, this has potential?

Watched Break Blade 5 and yup, it definitely got there.

They aren't sparing anyone with this. I wonder how far they are going to go?

This is what happens when you get laid up and it's hard to walk. I've been watching way too much anime.

I wish someone would keep subing Tetsuko no Tabi. Yeah it's not the best artwork but I like stuff that shows me parts of Japan that are every day things. Plus I have a fondness for the trains there.

Also hope someone will take care of Hyouge Mono. It's also rough around the edges, the music is so out of place. But I'm enjoying this take of Japanese history from the esthetic viewpoint. Quirky shows I like.

Speaking of quirky, I am finding myself amused at Nichijou. Especially when they use the speed lines for what normally would be a simple action. I'm enjoying the progression plus one smart cat who can't help being cat like when there is something to play with. It's an anime that is able to do many things yet doesn't come off distracting. I'm sure someone somewhere will point out the classic fun of the elevator and mosquito scenes. I think the trick is the creators of this know when to stop before each bit becomes cloying or goes on too long. I'd say it's better than Lucky Star in this aspect. It clearly does not take itself seriously. Which is nice.
