UH.  Not much to say here.  I've watched a fair amount of anime.  My wife, bunnylovesanime, has watched MUCH more.  My hands down absolute favorite anime is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, but Cowboy Bebop runs a near second, and I've got a weak spot for Azumanga Daioh or pretty much anything by Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away being my favorite of his works).  Mostly, I'm into shounen, but I steer pretty far clear of the low-end stuff like DMZ , Pokemon, or Gurren Lagann.  I like liberal amounts of action and humor, but am a well told story is a must.  I also tend to steer clear of the uber dark stuff, as I watch anime to escape, but there are occasional exceptions.

Um.  That is all for now.  Maybe more later.  :)

*edit*  I KNOW there are more older Anime's that I've watched (pre-1995 stuff), but it's been a WAY long time ago, and I just can't remember them well enough to add them my "watched" list.

Hi there monkeyman! Over the last few months I've had a series of thoroughly entertaining conversations with bunnylovesanime. I thought I'd stop by and say hello to you since bunny said you've recently started using your account a little bit more. Did you end up watching Kara no Kyoukai with her? If so, how did you like it? I haven't seen too much shounen besides DBZ, but I've got a good comedy that I can recommend to you if you're up for it. Oh, and Wolf's Rain is a pretty solid show. It is a little bit weak in the middle, but it rounds itself out nicely in the end. Anyway, nice to meet you.

Bug away. :)

I actually LIKE dark stuff well enough when things are going swimmingly in life, but when things get tougher I tend to gravitate towards the happier stuff.  I've watched (most of) Blood+, and i started Elfin Lied and rather enjoyed it, but it just got me down a bit too much.  Perhaps I'll take another swing at them when I'm done with school and less stressed.

I'm the same way with movies.  Some of my favorite films aren't exactly happy, and normally I'm a fan of ANY art that can take me on an emotional voyage.  Whatever emotions that may be.  The ability to effectively evoke an emotional response in its audience is  pretty much the definition of quality to me.  Be it all-pervasive sadness, like in the original FMA, the more optomistic sense of hope and victory in FMA:B, a sense of horror and tragedy like Elfin Lied, or just raucous humor like in Azumanga Diaoh.  Make me feel a strong emotion and it's all win.  At the MOMENT, however, I need the more positive emotions as my mood tends to feed off of this sort of thing. :)

You steer AWAY from the dark stuff, oh you most certainly are her hubby. Lol. Its all Higurashi, School Days, and Elfen Lied for me. Ok and many, many, many harem/ecchi/romance series. I prefer Seinen over Shounen though. Your wife has many interesting comments on/about anime. Thought I'd say hi, but I don't want to bug you, (unless you want me to). =)

Thanks.  I'm strictly amature compaired to you all, but I watch when I can.

The Mr. Bunny thing was just funny.  She's been known as "Bunny" for a long time, but you're the first to ever extend it to me. :P
